Any women doing (or do) a maternity photo shoot? If so, how far along are you? How did you prepare? Did you get your hair and makeup done? I have one scheduled, but I'm starting to get nervous that I'll just look awful! I've seen some great shots online, but I often wonder if they are "real women" and feel as good as they look!
Re: Maternity Photos?
I really enjoy photography (but I'm not a professional) and have a really nice camera and different tripods and stuff. DH & I went out to a park close to our house. We dressed nice but nothing matching or anything. I did my own hair and stuff too. We set up the tripod and did a few shots of us together, the ones of just me he took. We got a handful of nice ones, not nearly as many as you would get from a professional photo session.
I was 36 weeks when we went but I'm not having swelling issues or problems with the heat so I didn't think this mattered to me. I'm actually happy I waited until 36 weeks because as it was in some of the shots I didn't look pregnant.
We talked about doing a professional shoot and I told DH I would prefer to save our money and do a family one at the end of the year once LO is here for the holidays.
Brought the tripod and set the camera up. Got a lot of really nice shoots... did some inside as well. We did this at 36 weeks.
We rather wait until our LO arrives and have a family professional shoot done.
(sorry if the picture isn't all that great I'm on the mobile site)
Here are some samples of mine, I got my dress on clearence @ this sweet lil shop in the mall.
