Welcome to Ladies In Waiting. This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions. 

-Check in is every Wednesday- New members: Post an intro and your current TTC status. - Current members: Post updates, link to your chart, upcoming appointments, requests for T&Ps. - Weekly check-in's will include an inspirational quote.

Please do not worry if your name is not on the check in, I only put those that participated in the previous check in. Please make sure that if you get a BFP to PM me. I try to check PGAL, but sometimes I may miss it.

I'm doing well. Waiting to O! today is CD13 and I anticipate I will O by Monday. Last cycle I O'd on CD18, but I've O'd as early as CD16. So just trying to keep on top of our HIO schedule

AFM, I am still waiting for AF after my D&C. I am still have some really light spotting, like just a little brown streaking when I wipe. I wish it would stop already! I have a dr's appt after work tonight so she will see what she says then. On a somewhat related  note, I need to find a new OB because my doctor is no longer doing deliveries and hopefully sometime in the near future I will need a doctor that does that. Do you guys recommend getting in for an appt with a new doc before we officially start TTCing again? Like a pre-conception appt, is that a thing? My loss was my first pg so I don't really know what to do now, but I would like my new doc to be familiar with my situation before I hopefully get a BFP but I don't know if that is something they do.

@ctk181, I had a pre-conception appointment with my OB/GYN practice. They took a detailed medical (and OB/GYN) history and ran pre-conception bloodwork (thyroid, cystic fibrosis carrier test, etc.). I was glad I did it because they also answered all of my questions and I became more familiar with the OB side of their practice. I would think a pre-conception appt would be a great idea if you were planning on getting a new OB, particularly in light of your recent loss.

@ctk181 Ugh the wait for that first AF after a MC is agonizing . Big Hugs!! Hope the search for a great OB is quick and successful.

I am currently at CD8 and have two more days of clomid left. I have some creamy discharge today, which after research is likely a good sign the clomid is working. I'll take it! DH is away this upcoming Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Perfect timing as I don't usually "o" until closer to CD19 and DH will be home by CD15. We will also do temping and OPK's this month! Ugh, it does feel like time is going way too slow!!

AFM still waiting for AF or to test.... I feel like this has been a lonnnnggg 2WW I'm going to test on Friday morning I think if AF doesn't arrive tomorrow. We have a wedding Saturday and I would like to know if I should come prepared for AF since my dress is mainly white.

MrsPhD83 I liked your answer to @ctk181 's question. I too will be switching OB practices and was wondering the same thing. I had a prenatal/second opinion set up with the new practice but ended up canceling and having my d&c that day. I will have to give them a call again and see if I could set something up. Thank you ladies. Great question.

ashtog FX that this is your cycle!

I am CD2 and this has been the cycle from hell. I am dealing with retained tissue from my d&c at the beginning of August and the cramps are radiating through my back and thighs. AF you can stop being such a bitch anytime now. DH is anxious to start TTC again and though originally I was told no need to wait more then one cycle this retained tissue is throwing us a curve ball. I tested the other day to see if maybe a miracle happened and my betas dropped, but nope. Dollar store test came back faint positive still. Really hoping all this discomfort from AF helps get things moving and I won't need to revisit the idea of a second d&c. Doctor said once I stop bleeding we will do another beta and if its still up follow with an ultrasound. So I'm waiting for AF to finish just to wait for more testing. FX all looks well in a week or so and maybe MH will get his wish and we can TTC again.

AFM: Just about to O. I've been super busy at work. And I am so tired of Dr appointments... I have lost almost all sense of modesty. I go for my mid cycle scan tomorrow and most likely get my trigger shot as well. I might need to administer it to myself... I hate needles but it totally freaked DH last time because he panicked about hurting me... I am gonna need to put on my big girl pants and buck up!

@rubysi and@Pickles4Prez so true!! There is no more modesty for me either!! After having about a bajillion transvaginal ultrasounds I've gotten over it lol.  I almost expect to be probed everytime I go to a Drs office now!  Also more comfortable talking about all my lady bits to friends and fam.  Wanna talk about my ovaries and tilted uterus? Sure NBD lol

@creechmommy I just got my package of 50 cheapie OPKs from eBay in the mail. I have a fancy schmancy fertility monitor, too, but the sticks for it are so expensive and I like to POAS a lot so as not to miss O!

@ldubhawsfan Looks like you and I are on a similar schedule. I'm on CD12 of my last cycle TTA. My LP tends to be on the short side without any sort of meds, so I am hoping to confirm O within the next few days and then expect AF within 10 days or so after that. Can't wait to burn our benches! Hope this cycle doesn't drag out too long for either of us.

@ctk181 I switched OBs before my last pregnancy and loss. I was glad I did because, by the time I went in for betas, etc., my new OB already knew my history. I hope you find someone you trust and feel comfortable with.

Well it would appear AF arrived. Of course after I gave in to the urge and POAS lol.

I'm actually kind of relieved I think. I had this huge fear the past couple days that even though I had had my first AF (early though 21 days post d&c), and that was all I had been told to wait, that it was too soon and if I was KU and lost the baby I would blame myself. I would guess this is probably a common worry and fear though.

Hopefully AF takes it easy on me though, and this cycle we'll have more luck. I am wondering it I didn't even O this past month since I still had HCG above 5 until 2 weeks ago (unknown to me until after we started DTD).

@BookishMomma I'm hoping having OPKs to pee on can help me fight the urge to POAS so early in the TWW.  That's my theory at least - we'll see if it works! I only have one FRER left from last cycle and I think I'm gonna tell MH to hide it this cycle.

Hi y'all...a little late checking in, sorry! ...I'm still waiting on my first AF after the m/c. My hcg levels are back to normal as evidenced by 3 negative HPTs. We have been NTNP so far. I've been trying to educate myself on chart and have been looking at FF for when/if AF arrives.

OH!!! Annnnd...tomorrow is Friday!

So my update is not good.... more unexplained.  Actually  I am a bit like this right now.

This is my fourth cycle with Letrozole and the three previous times I have had 2-3 good follies and  a nice thick lining. This time the lining was thin and  one possibly ovulated oddly shaped follicle. The RE had never seen anything like this before. I am tired, of trying, messing with my hormones having timed intercourse,  having things shoved in places. Maybe I should just accept this will never happen for me. I might think differently tomorrow but right now I am just tired.

Currently waiting on AF...I was convinced that she was going to show up any minute with all the PMS symptoms I've been having the last few days, but alas she has stayed away :P I've never wanted her to show up so bad. This was an annovulatory cycle so I just want to move on to the next. If we don't get a BFP by Oct we have to put TTC on hold until about Feb because the timing wouldn't be good with things we have going on next year. I honestly don't know if I'll be able to not TTC that long, but it really would be the smart thing to do. That being said it will probably end up being NTNP instead. Now I'm just rambling... ((Hugs)) to those who need them!

Hey ladies! Thank you for the check in @BookishMomma‌. Haven't had much time lately (which truly is a nice change of pace), so I've done more lurking than posting. Don't have time to respond to all the previous posts right now, but please know I'm thinking of you all and hope your wait goes by quickly!! Laughed out loud about all the posts regarding modesty! You're right, @Amybunny30‌ if they ask they deserve it! I'm still waiting for my first AF post mc. I do believe I ovulated yesterday according to EWCM and the doc said we could NTNP so I guess we'll see. Not too optimistic but who knows I have been temping but am not ready to post my novice FF chart as I have forgotten half the days and I'm really just practicing until I get that first AF.

Seems I'm a little behind this week as I catch up from my trip. Still waiting to burn my bench but FX for normal cycles as AF should appear next week so I can get my matches out. Only downside is that DH has now been scheduled for knee surgery at the beginning of October so I only get 1 cycle for TTC and then will have to wait again until he recovers which could be anywhere from November to December.

@paintdadanta, FWIW: the cycle we got PG back in May, MH was 10 days out from hip surgery. Just sayin. A little combo of: 1) being bored from being off work, 2) ability to lay back and relax, and 3) my persuasion suggestion for TTC anyway was an effective combo for getting the job done during my FW that month

Just waiting for AF after our loss on 8/11.  It feels like it's NEVER going to get here.  I just can't wait to be right finally.  I feel like I'm in limbo.  Bah!

Sorry i'm late guys. Rough couple of days.

Anyway, today I woke up to AF, the first in damn near 2 years. Still TTA at the moment. Got prescribed some antidepressants which I'm still trying to get adjusted to. Remeron = morning grogginess. It's getting a little better every day I take it, so that's good. When we're ready to TTC I'll get weaned off of it, but for now, I think I need it.

Next month I've got a follow up appointment to check on the episiotomy and discuss temporary BC until January when we will TTC. Glad AF came today so I can finally start tracking things. 

ETA: I'm still learning a lot of the lingo and abbreviations here, so apologies I'm not following up with everyone yet. Still learning!

Also, those cute little dancing dragons - I see them everywhere. Is there a symbolism behind that? 

In desperate need of a page to reference and learn from!
