I finished my first week of WW since pregnancy and I lost 2 lbs. It's not a lot for the first week, but it's moving in the right direction, and I'm satisfied with it considering I cut way back on bfing this week. I manually lowered myself a point a day and I'm going to see if that helps more this week. WW assigns you 14 extra points for bfing, 7 if you are supplementing, but since I only pump twice a day, I'm not sure I really need the whole 7. OTOH, I'm not sure I want to eliminate the bfing points completely. We'll see how this week goes.
Mostly I'm just proud that I stuck with it and didn't go over my points allowance for the week. And I did get in exercise once, which isn't a lot but it's something. 53 lbs to go!
QOTW: Because I've done this before (I lost 85 lbs from 2009-2011), I have the benefit of knowing how great I felt when I made it to my goal weight. Although my long TTC/pregnancy journey was worth it, I've missed having control over my body and how I could eat and exercise, so it's kind of exciting to be back in the game.
Married my wife 8/2007 ~ TTC #1 since 7/2011 9 IUIs = 9 BFNs IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31! EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14 *Everyone welcome*
I think I could really use more support or structure. My own will-power seems less than sufficient some days. I'm definitely eating healthier, but still not dieting sufficiently to lose significant weight. I'm inspired by those that have joined WW and are seeing results. I was a member in the past, and am leaning toward joining again. The accountability might be helpful to get over this hurdle and start losing in earnest.
QOTD: I'm struggling with this right now. Generally reminding myself of my goals tends to work.
I mentioned in my TTT that I lost another 2.5 lbs last week. I was OK with that because I also had my period, and I always have trouble losing more on weeks when I have my period. The week before I lost 4 lbs. I am hoping that is more my weekly average, but we will have to see. I weigh myself on Saturday mornings -- so I will see in another couple of days what kind of progress I was able to make this week. I am determined, and starting to feel good. The clothes I bought when I returned to work 6 weeks ago are starting to get loose, so that is great. I have lost 14 lbs total since being back at work the last 6 weeks. The first couple of weeks were tough, but now I am in my groove!
QOTW: Like @ball.and.chain said, I have done this before. I totally agree, it is good to be back in the game. I am glad to have some weight loss/wellness buddies here!
