I sort of think there should be 2 polls so that people can vote for 2 since we likely will have 2 mods.. Then all that info can go to BJ and she can make her final decision.

If you're gonna do two separate polls, I'd say do the second poll now with all of the candidates for the sake of not delaying the process. All the mod-related posts at the top of the page are making me tired lol

I think if we do have a second poll, we should wait until this poll closes and the top pick is decided. If we have two polls right now I wouldn't know which poll to vote for my top pick and which to vote for my second pick and I feel like that would mess up the results. If that makes sense.

If there is a clear top 2 on this poll (where the majority of the votes went to one or the other), then just use this poll and let's be done with the voting. Edit: add

This. You'll just get the same results if you run two exact same polls at the same time and with the same people voting.

A 2nd poll would be more accurate because we would be able to then select a 2nd choice. Without a 2nd poll, we have to hope that the remaining voters pick the other person we would have selected in this poll. However, the results from the 2nd poll will likely be similar to the top two in this poll. It is more an issue of our 2nd vote not being counted in 1 poll.

The original plan was to send the top 2 to BJ, right?

Has anyone considered the drama that could be stirred by having the 2nd place winner on this poll NOT win the hypothetical second poll? There could be some disputing who gets their name sent in, people could get all mad and butthurt, we'd see some whiteknighting of nonsensical posts by a few trolls, people would talk of pizza, I would get in trouble for making pizza tonight's dinner for a second night in a row...it could just get messy.

Because my opinion matters so so much: I'm tired of all this and I think that anyone in the poll would do an excellent job as MOD. Let's keep it simple and just stick with the original plan of sending the 1st and 2nd place winners over to BJ.

Despite my being completely OK with the conversation turning to pizza again, it's settled. Top two are mods sent to BJ. *gavel*

@MrsSinner402‌ The problem with talk of pizza is that I live just around the corner from 3 different pizza places. The good chains and even a gourmet pizza place...that delivers! And DH is not a pizza fan. At all. This is a serious issue!!! O:-)

I'm fairly certain that in the fine print of the contract order for you to have pizza, there's no "my DH has to eat some, too" clause. EAT ALL THE PIZZA.
