Low Fluid

Went to the Dr. today and was told that my fluid was low. They are going to check me again on thursday and told me to drink lots of water...which I have already been drinking a lot of. I was told that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have my bag packed and ready on Thursday. I am 36 +1. Anyone else had this experience?

I don't know how low yours is, but mine was 7 (normal range 8-12) at 38w4d. It was measured again at 39w4d and went up to 8.5. Dr was no longer concerned...and I ended up delivering the next day on my own anyway.

I don't think they will push delivery unless it's 5 or below. At least my OB wouldn't.

mine was below 5 which was why he was a little worried

Sorry if this sounds silly, but how do they know if your fluid is low? I would think they could only tell by u/s..,but I could be wrong

it was an U/S that detected it

I would be ready for a possible delivery. Doctors don't mess with a 5 or lower.
