When people ask me how many months I am I'm like...
This is usually my reaction:
So, I usually give them the 'well..i'm 30 weeks OR she'll be here in a "few" months.'
Yeah, usually I give it to them in weeks. If they ask me to do the math I'm screwed. I had a cashier actually ask me in months on Friday and I was like, "Well...I'm 27 weeks and due in November."

My aunt asks me all the time how many months I am and my response is always, "I'm X weeks." And she makes a face and says well how many months. Hell I don't know, I don't feel like thinking or figuring shit out! You want months, you figure it out! lol

You should just start saying 9 months whenever anyone asks. That way they will be confused and won't ask again.
When people ask me how many months I am I'm like...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I just had a bit of a meltdown looking at this. I'm 8 months?!!!? What the EF?! I refuse to believe this and will continue telling myself that I am 7 months because that means I still have time to do the EVERYTHING that needs to be done...
I never know how to answer. I have found myself babbling about how it depends on whether you think a month is four weeks, but most months are more unless you are thinking of a lunar month and some people say pregnancy is ten months but it's really not and you're really not pregnant the first two weeks, but that's how it's calculated and and and... --- Then the person slowly backs away.
I don't want to think about this :S all those charts are telling me I'm in my 8th month on Saturday. Nope, nope and nope!!
I am in my 8th month today ( holy crap. I am in total denial here. Just the other day I told someone I was only 6 months along...how is time going by so fast?
I only use months if I'm trying to make someone feel bad for me. I asked brother in law to bring something in from my car last time we were at fil house. He asked me "why I didn't bring it in with me?" I said " I'm 8 months pregnant (and duh don't we all exaggerate), go get it." It worked.
30 out of 40 weeks is like 3/4 right? Just tell them you're three-quarters pregnant, that should get you some weird looks!
I'm 29 weeks and keep saying 6.5 months, but according to that chart thingy I'm almost to the end of 7 months, close to 8?? Da fukkk??? I'm sticking with 6.5, because almost 8 freaks me the fuck out...

I had this exact same thought progression today...
I'm so glad to hear that everyone is just as confused as I am on this. I keep telling people that I'm 7 months, but that chart says I'm in my 8th month. That's scary.
I've started telling people how many weeks until my due date. They seem to find that easier to understand than how many weeks have passed. Or maybe I just find it easier to understand.
I've been taking the number of months until my due date, subtracting that from 9, and giving people that. So I'm still telling them "a little over 6 months" when the chart says I should be saying "7 and a half." The thing is, if I'm 9 months pregnant at 38 weeks, then what am I at 40 weeks?
Basically the months vs weeks are screwy.
I think with that chart it mean you are in your _____ month. Take the first month for example. If you are three weeks pregnant, your not wuite a month, you are in your first month of pregnancy. At 6 weeks though, you are more than a month but less than two months so you are in your second month of pregnancy.
According to that chart then, I am (at 31 weeks) in my 8th month. I'll be a full 8 months pregnant at 35 weeks.
At 38 weeks we are not a full 9 months pregnant but we are in our 9th (AND FINAL) month.
Wow, I kinda feel like a nerd now... and I don't even like math...

I usually say I'm in X month if I get a weird look if I use weeks. Sometimes it's funny because when I say I'm in X month I may get asked how I'm X month if I have, say, 13 weeks to go. Most laypeople (even formerly pregnant folks) are stuck on the pregnancy = 9 months, as in, 36 weeks. Then I explain the average length of pregnancy is 40w2d to 41w, then they sort of get it. Sort of.
