Cloth Diapering

OT laundry question

Dh gave me a 100% cotton bathrobe for Christmas 2012. I don't use it as often as my old one because it apparently was made with some kind of weird coating on the cotton fibers to make them fluffy and luxurious feeling and very unabsorbent. It kid of defeats the purpose of having a bathrobe to put on out of the shower. So any ideas on how to get that coating off and make the fibers absorbent....or is it a matter of needing to just wash it with every load of towels for a while?

Re: OT laundry question

  • You could do several hot washes like are used to strip diapers. :)

Eh, I'll just wear the thing in the shower....maybe the shampoo/body wash will help.
