What's bothering you? (NO JUDGING)

edited September 2014 in 1st Trimester
Hey, I'm pretty sure others have does this, but I figured I would post a forum for moms to be that are in their 1st trimester to vent how they feel, such as labor jitters, family stress, anxiety, pregancy problems and things going wrong. Feed back and comforting is most welcome. PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE, if giving feedback PLEASE GIVE POSITIVE VIBES, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM NASTY REMARKS.

Re: What's bothering you? (NO JUDGING)

  • I just found out I am pregnant after we miscarried in January. This was the first month we were able to try and it actually happened! I'm thrilled just terrified that it's going to happen again

@ashleighgreco‌ I thought your idea was a good one. The whole point of this board is to share and support one another. I would be interested in hearing others' worries too. I understand why you said what you did about only posting supportive responses :-). I'm sorry that you got the responses that you did.

Currently I am waiting on pins and needles for my first u/s on Thursday. I will be 9w 3d. This is my first appointment and it has been a really long wait!!!! I have all the natural worried that come with that. I have plenty more things to stress over but I'm trying to look only at the immediate future right now.

    What about you?

@Ndm410 - No.  The whole point of this site is drive up revenue for it's advertisers.  It can be a great place for support, but you kind of have to give it to get it.   The whole 1st Tri board is full of posts about worries and fears.  It's almost the theme of the board.  Anyone who lurked here would know that creating a new thread for the sole purpose of talking about worries and fears is a little bit redundant.  Furthermore, attempting to dictate the types of responses you get on a public forum is begging for trouble.

Also, just FYI, unless you've been told otherwise, I wouldn't count on getting an U/S at your first appointment.  It's not typical to have one this early unless you've had prior issues or don't know how far along you are.

Thanks but I'm not a ftm and am very familiar with the way my OB does things. I will be getting the U/S. She does them herself in office.

    Um...watch the TOU, please. Thanks.

    ETA: This goes for everyone.

    How is this against TOU?

ETA: Nevermind, GM already pointed this out.

But yes, I will be cognizant of the TOU

@LuluRM (and @GhostMonkey, since you were curious)
My apologies for calling you out on it. Like I said, I got my ass handed to me for it in the past and was told it was a no-no. Apparently it is now okay again. I can't tell you for how long, but for now, you're good.
No worries, I've been called out (rightly so) before. I just wanted to clarify so that I don't unintentionally run afoul of the rules and get myself into trouble.

    Now go fuck off.

    Totally kidding!! :x
  • I am new to this community and this is the first thread I have read. My first impression is that many of you are unsupportive, judge mental, and mean.
Judge Mental?!  Does he work the traffic courts?
This made me laugh way harder than it should have.

  • I can't believe the negativity here! I really like the OP's post, and would have loved if there were positive responses to it. It was a great topic! You all are so unsupportive and mean.

  • The lack of common sense in these parts...
  • The thing that is bothering me the most has to be my innability to keep my mouth shut lol
Also i have no subtlety and my MIL definitely knows and my partner still wont tell her, i don't want to offend her so i hope he tells her soon!

  • I just came here to see if maybe someone was dealing with similar 1st Tri issues and this is what I find. SMH.

Telling grown women how to respond to posts is no one's place. If you don't want honesty and prefer unicorn farts then this is the wrong place to be.

  • @PrimRoseMama‌ WTF is it then. Sure does seem like a hazing.

Umm it's called people responding to someone's question. Or pointing out the hypocrisy or idiocy of what was posted. Being honest, being snarky. Far from fucking hazing. No one is being initiated into anything, no one is being forced to do something humiliating, no one is being forced to do anything. Try reading a dictionary before you attempt to shame the board, k?

  • Lifeless and unsupportive. Hmm. Tell that to the women who have had terrible losses or really craptastic things happen. Ask them how unsupportive this place is. Good thing that little x in the top right corner gives you a quick way to get out of here!
