Rash Question

Lo frequently gets small rashs-mostly on the inner parts around the anus.  I usually put cream on it and it goes away quickly. Today though I noticed that there is a larger spot on the left cheek that almost looked like a burn.  He doesn't cry when I touch it or he is wiped. The pic is not great-he wouldn't stop wiggling around. Could this just be from a wet diaper or something I ate? It's shiny b/c his cream is on his butt already.

Could be something you ate. Have you eaten anything acidic recently? That's usually the first place to look.

I had lasagna a couple days in a row, so that has tomatoes. Other than that, no.

  Just put it on like baby powder? I don't usually pat dry.

Could be the culprit. Also look out for various fruits, since a lot of stuff is coming into season. Here's a handy chart. I was surprised to see how acidic apples can be, for example.

You need to pay dry before putting on the barrier cream. And yeah, like baby powder. Js tush looked like that and the cornstarch got rid of it

DD has acidic poos sometimes that look like this. When I know poo is on it's way I give an extra thick slather of coconut oil. I recently found that candulla cream clears almost compleat lay in one diaper change.
