Is anyone's baby eating less? We're thinking our LO has reflux and he was given meds yesterday but the last 4 days he has gone from 4oz a feeding to 3 or 3.5. He will be 8 weeks Monday and I thought this is the time they increase what they eat
It depends, baby could be getting satisfied more quickly. So as they get older every now and then it does decrease. I'm sure another growth spurt will happen and baby will be eating "regular" again.
Def ask your pedi about the reflux. That should ease your mind. Does baby cry after eating less? Or seem ok?
Are you BF, FF, or maybe doing breast milk in bottle? Are you using a bottle so you know the difference? Elias ate less one day this week, but then was normal the next day. Did you maybe do more feedings on these other days? From what I've been reading it's about the total intake per 24 hour period, not per session.
Thank you for making this thread! I've been worrying about this, too. My little guy has reflux and we tried soy yesterday which he threw up twice, so we went back to another formula that had him a bit gassy but he's doing better with gas now. But he went from eating 3-3.5 oz over the last few days to 1 oz.
I'm almost thinking maybe a growth spurt and now he doesn't need as much and would rather sleep?
