I'm getting my hair done today. I haven't had it colored since before Christmas or cut since last summer. I'm irrationally excited for this. It's my first long outing by myself since the baby (who has been incredibly clingy lately) too. Momma needs a break!

Jumping in the shower. Dh just left for work, DS slept at my moms last night. Have a counseling appt in a bit that i really feel no need to go to (which I guess is a good thing), then to pick up the little one, then off to see the big one's first scrimmage game as a jv football player! Then I don't know what. Supposed to be hot here today, maybe pool later
We are at the beach with my parents---DH is meeting us here after work. We came yesterday. Last night, Reese woke me up at 3am the morning to go to the bathroom. Not a good thing because it took her forever to fall back asleep again. She was talking in my bed until at least 4:30am.
I'm debating dropping kiddo off at MILs so I can go to yoga. Yoga is my only "thing" and I haven't really done it in an actual studio since she was born. But I feel guilty because MIL already watches her during the week while I'm working, and I just feel guilty leaving the baby in general. DH has assured me like 10 times that I should go and that baby and mil will be fine.
Baby is already down for her morning nap. DS is running in place to "get his exercise". I'm trying to finish my coffee and then pick up before DH gets home.
I like to have the house cleanish when he gets home to keep up the illusion that I have my shit together.
We were supposed to go to a bday party but DS2 has a virus and a fever to go along with it. The mom told us she is ok with that but I don't want anyone else to get sick so we will skip it.

Hey y'all! ds and I are up, hes havi ng breakfast and I just finished my coffee. We're taking a trip to visit my family for the weekend and dh and I have a wedding to go to Sunday night (so ds will be staying with ny mom). We'll probably leave this afternoon arpund DS' s naptime.
In the meantime we may meet my gf and her son at the park for an hour or so.
I'm gonna wear cute shorts and a nice, plain t-shirt to a baby shower because all my dresses are dirty. I really wanted to wear soft pants, and I feel like this is a step up from that
I also have to leave soon to get the baby shower gift on my way to the baby shower. It is too early for this booshit.
Slept in till 8 this morning (not uninterrupted but ill take it). The baby is still sleeping & my boobs are aching!
We're hosting a big end of summer party tomorrow with tons of family & friends coming, so I have to food shop for that today, plus cleaning & all that crap. There is an 80% chance of rain today & tomorrow & I am praying that this is one of those times that the meteorologist gets it totally wrong....
I'm at the lake with my family, and I'm having a hard time not telling my aunt and uncle what I think about their political views without calling them idiotic.
According to them, global warming doesn't exist, recycling is a scam, and racism exists, but it "has gone the other way. We gave them [black people] too much, and now the problem is racism and discrimination against white people."
The ignorance is astounding. I'm glad DH has to work Monday so we have a reason to leave early.
Also, DD1 (12) was hard core busted this week using an Instagram account she was told to shut down 2 weeks ago, & talking to boys she has no business talking to. She was also busted calling her dad an asshole, in addition to using other cuss words, when texting her friend. This is 2-3 times just recently shes been in trouble for lying to us & disobeying the rules & regulations of tween life.
MH is on her drill sargent style, having her do extra chores, no tv, radio & cds removed from her room. I agree with what hes doing, but i'm also annoyed because I feel like hes just using her punishment to get out of doing his own chores. Hes also acting like her calling him an asshole was the biggest offence, when I think the lying/talking to thuggish boys is what needs to be the center of the issue.
She won't be 13 for another 2 weeks yet I am already over parenting a teenager!!
Dude, the vet tried to sell DH an 8 month flea collar for $75.00. I looked it up online and they retail for $45-$50 and I can get a $20 rebate off the Internet. Lol, no. Good news is that the poor guy slept all night without scratching.
We went through this. Just be careful our very said the prednisone can trigger/cause diabetes if used to much. We did two sessions over a year and cat got diabetes within a year of his last shot. I don't know specifics or science but worth being aware

@aditigirl For clairfication, my 12 year old does not have an iphone or any other electronic device. We dont even have internet for our laptop at homr. She created the Instagram account while "playing games" on either grandmas Ipad or her cousins Ipod while there for a sleepover. We're not sure which bc lying. Grandmas has agreed to no more Ipad until we give her the OK
@Mcbenny shes got plenty of guy friends that shes allowed to talk to, but these are older boys who from what I can tell cuss constantly & have little to no respect for parents/adults in general (stay in trouble at school, no clue about their home life). Maybe calling them thugs was too harsh since they are in fact still kids, just not kids I'd want my kid hanging out with. I'd feel the same if they were girls
ETA a little more clairty: she only texts/calls her friends from OUR phones, my kids won't have their own phones until they are driving age (is our plan anyways)
I had so much fun on my date last night. Today is going to be a busy day. I have a bunch of craft projects to finish today. I also have the baking, freezing, and meal planning to do.
@RondackHiker it might turn out ok. Ginger actually goes well with spinach and I'm assuming you didn't put a ton in. If it's not already crusty on top I'd stir in some garlic and lemon to offset it

@Mcbenny shes got plenty of guy friends that shes allowed to talk to, but these are older boys who from what I can tell cuss constantly & have little to no respect for parents/adults in general (stay in trouble at school, no clue about their home life). Maybe calling them thugs was too harsh since they are in fact still kids, just not kids I'd want my kid hanging out with. I'd feel the same if they were girls
