We've been fighting a diaper rash for a couple weeks now (tried waxelene, CJ's, Grovia's magic stick and CJ's plus), and when it started to bleed a little bit at daycare today, the pediatrician told us to go buy some lotrimin and layer some destin on that to clear it up. Daycare did this, and so that solution was on LO's bum, and they were using the BG4.0s that we have there, which have a real nappies disposable liner on them. Are disposable liners sufficient protection from these non-cloth diaper safe substances? DH wants to go out and just buy some disposable diapers to tide us over, but I'm hoping that the disposable liners are sufficient protection.
After taking off his last daycare diaper, I didn't see any grease stains or anything on the pocket liner, but I'll certainly break out a toothbrush and some dawn if necessary (or put it in the dishwasher with dawn, right? ;-) ).
Due to the suspicion of yeast (which I'm not fully convinced of, it doesn't look like any yeast rash I've seen picture off), I'm going to put in a 1/4 cup of bleach with my next loads of diaper laundry.
tl;dr - we used destin with a disposable liner on our BGs - is this sufficient protection? How do I tell if I need to take extra measures to clean my diapers?
Re: Using destin with my pockets - cleaning question
Good Luck with the diaper rash.
