I wish the RE would have thought to prepare me, but last night was horrible!!!! Yesterday was cd2 and I had horrible cramping and backache all day that Tylenol did nothing for. But last night around 2am it became unbearable. It is the most pain I've ever been in second to when I had that follicle/cyst rupture. I was writhing in pain and nauseous and unsure what to do. Ultimately I decided to take a few Advil. I've been staying away from Advil since I've been doing treatment cycles but it was either that or one of the narcotic painkillers I still have. About an hour after that and with a heating pad I was comfortable enough to actually lie down and got a little sleep. I googled "AF after IVF"
and found a bunch of posts with experiences similar to mine and people who called their nurses and was told the pain and really heavy AF was completely normal!
Now I'm worried about today... Right now I feel okay but when this Advil wears off I'm wondering if I should stick with that or go straight to the other stuff. I will be driving around and meeting with clients.
Has anyone else here had this experience with their AF post IVF?

Re: Bad/painful AF after IVF
***c/p mentioned***
Sounds just like mine unfortunately I was told that it was because it was a c/p, but I had a nice thick lining before transfer, so I'm guessing that the heaviness and pain had something to do with that? Normally I have 1-2 "heavy" days (like, wearing an adult diaper because it's the only thing that will contain it kind of heavy), but that lasted for 4 days after my cycle. I wouldn't worry about a couple of Advil. It's only when you take large doses of it continuously where it can become a problem. You gotta do what you gotta do! Hopefully it slows up for you soon.
***EVERYONE WELCOME***
Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .
Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October
Thanks @Jzyla I will try to keep in mind it's almost over lol... I would probably have taken today off normally but I am going out of state next week for almost the whole week for a family wedding so I can't afford it and it wouldn't be fair to the clients... But then if it gets bad like that again I guess I won't have a choice!
@Buttmonkey34 Weird! I started BCP cd1 also, but I will be on it for at least 3 weeks before doing anything else. I am looking forward to what the RE says when I see him. (About my next cycle but also about this craziness I experienced). You'd think with all the stuff we are going through that out bodies would give us a break and not do all these weird things!
Thanks @tptbabe ! I am sorry about your loss. My RE does betas really late and I didn't test at home so of course there's a small part of me that wonders if something like that happened. They didn't tell me the beta #. Regardless I am glad to hear this is fairly normal even though I'm not glad anyone has had to deal with it!
Thanks @tifga ! I can't decide if the cramps or backache or worse, lol.
So I was good this morning but then it started getting real bad real fast so I took more Advil but have hydrocodone just in case. Fortunately/unfortunately my first client lives super close to me and no showed so I am back home with the heating pad for about 45 more min!

@katemonster1 I had to do a double take on the pic to be sure it was still you!
@airidh80 Thanks for the advice! That is pretty much the reasoning I ended up with... I figured of I took the px one and got in an accident it would be in my system which would be bad (well just an accident would be bad too) so should stick to Advil but I am definitely going straight to the px ones if this causes any issues tonight!
