Happy first day of college football and we have almost made it to the long weekend!
All is well here. I passed my 3 hour glucose test with flying colors! YAY! That is relief since I am an IR PCOSer. This is my last week in second tri! That seems absolutely crazy! We go for our first growth scan on 9/11 with the MFM to see how she is doing and to check cervical length.
I had my first crazy pregnancy craving over the weekend -- I wanted a hamburger with a side of pancakes. Luckily IHOP offers just that.
I am slowly starting to check things off the list. The nursery is pretty much set up, we have maternity and newborn pictures booked, we have signed up for birthing classes, and have appointments set up with potential child care places and pediatricians. It is all coming together.
I am thinking of you ladies always and lurk constantly. @Rumbera28 -- I have been thinking you and your mom a lot and hope she is doing okay.
QOTW: Not much going on here. I have a shower to go to on Saturday. Then we will probably just relax some.
@bluejoan -- I know! I was just thinking the same thing. I honestly didn't even know I was that close until I started getting e-mails and other things about third tri and thought "hmmmm, that is weird, I wonder when third tri starts." ha ha
Hope the Lupron is going well for you and good luck on IVF in September!
Hi all! Sorry to see some of the recent BFNs, thrilled for the BFPs, and big hugs to everyone!
@IntuitiveBlue - You look fabulous! Uncomfortable I am sure, but you still have nice toned arms - all the better for holding those babies in just a few WEEKS!
AFM, all well here. Not much has changed! Ryan decided he likes Ben & Jerrys ice cream like his Mom - it hasn't been a craving per say but whenever I eat a little of the peppermint chocolate cookie version, he goes full ninja. It's happened 3x now (slowly working on a pint) and just that kind of ice cream! I swear he kicked my spine.
We are fine tuning our registries as my shower invites have gone in the mail. I kept thinking it was two months until my shower - nope, just three weeks now! Yikes!
My MIL has offered to throw me a shower up near her. We hadn't been planning to visit before we deliver but there was a change of plans and we scheduled a trip for late October. I am honestly kind of shocked she offered as she is always kind of distant and disinterested in all her kids, so I won't snub her kind offer.
So we don't have any stuff yet - a friend gave us a onesie with a moose, and I bought a towel, but that's about it. We are waiting until my shower in late September before we start assembling the nursery, and likely the shower in late October will pretty much buy out our registries (we only have about 90 items total on there, and there's probably around that many guests combined to the showers - though I know we'll get personalized things and blankets and outfits not on the registry).
I bought a few new items earlier this week - my boobs have gone from a cute C straight to an E cup so I needed new bras, and I am going to a wedding next weekend and needed a dress, so here I am (in my own dress) in the dressing room, using the full length mirror:
QOTW: It's our anniversary, so we are going to see a play and out for Indian food for dinner :-)
Hey ladies, I was waiting to get my first betas before making an announcement. They came in at 320! I go in tomorrow to see if they double. So right now I'm 4+1. Crazy! Just know I'm lurking here all the time and rooting for you all!
QOTW: We have 2 bbqs this weekend. Nothing too exciting.

Lurking and rooting so hard for you all!!
AFM, I am 15w today with twins and still can't believe it. This is my longest stretch between appts and it feels weird, I want to see the babies again! I see my OB on Sept 9 and then will probably book the a/s at that point. I am eager to find out who's in there! My growing bump is getting harder to hide these days!
QOTW: Plans north of the city with a friend to get the pups together, other than that, not much, maybe a BBQ, low key kind of weekend
@sugar4bri Congratulations!!!! That is a great first beta!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking and hope you all are doing well! Sending you lots of support!
I am 5w6d today and had an appointment this morning. I had an ultrasound and wasn't sure what we would be able to see since it's pretty early, but we saw one little baby and the heartbeat!! They tried to let us listen but it was hard to hear this early; but it's beating at 110 and regular!
I think now I am finally letting myself be excited about it! I was so nervous up until today and I didn't want to get my hopes up too much. My H came with me to the appointment and he saw the heartbeat first on the screen and started tearing up. It was so sweet!
QOTW: We will actually be using this weekend as a good way to meet up with our parents and tell them about the pregnancy! We haven't told anyone yet (I told the pharmacist when I got more endometrin, haha) so we will tell close family this weekend. Other than that I'm going to get ready for school as I start back next week.

Hi ladies! I know I haven't checked in for a while - I was never into doing bump pictures but, I wanted to stop back because baby girl is here!
Catharine Elisabeth arrived on August 20 at 4:58. She weighed 8lbs and 1 oz and measured 21.25 inches! I was induced after my water broke on Tuesday night just before 9pm and labor failed to start on its own. They started pitocin at 3am, so I am thankful that I did not have a crazy long labor - I was exhausted by the time she arrived! We came home last Friday and everything is going well.
DH and I still sometimes just look at her and marvel that she is actually here. It seems like a dream come true. QOTW: we will be enjoying family time all weekend long
yay @sugar4bri !!!!! I got my doubling BETA report today and that makes me 4w 4days!!! We're super close!!
Congrats to all of you ladies! So glad we still have this check in to feel a part of the group!! Holding out that eventually EVERYONE will be in this check in!!

@southernyankeegirl -- here are some pictures of parts of the nursery. We are still working on some of the final touches and are waiting on one more piece of the bedding to arrive but the big stuff is all done. We have ordered a new TV for in there too. We wanted something she could kind of grow into so we don't have to redo it every year or so.
Congrats @sugar4bri !! So exciting!!

A) It isn't good form to complain about other boards on a different board. Posters can see it, and it isn't usually taken nicely.
Yes, I skipped 1st Tri. I recommend checking out Pregnant After Infertility and your Month board. Neither is quite as close of a community as 3T, but it's a good place to start! There's a 1st Tri check-in on PAIF.
ETA: Major congrats on your BFP and welcome to the grad board!
