@rox825 11/4 Team Green - Yay for passing your glucose test! Your shower is only a week away. How exciting. I stalked my registry up until the last week so that I could be surprised by some of it. People bought us things that weren't on our registry so that was fun to see too.
@mrsbuttercup0806 11/6 Girl - Yay for being able to feel hiccups. My LO gets them at least once a day and its something I look forward to because it reminds me that everything is still going good.

Hey everyone. I hope you are all having a good week. I know at this point most of us are dealing with 3rd Trimester exhaustion/heartburn/aches but I hope you are all hanging in there.

I am 36 weeks this week with my next appointment being Friday.

I found out I am strep b negative so I am excited about one less thing to think about. I had my first cervical check last week. I had heard they can hurt and I was glad it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. TMI but I did spot for about 2 days afterwards. As of last thursday I was 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. I then read up that it means nothing in terms of when LO will come. I've been having what I think are braxton hicks contractions and occasional pelvic pain. I assume its from LO moving further down. The whole having to get up to use the restroom every 30 min to an hour is getting a bit annoying at work though.

QOTW: I love the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties at Disney. It is soo crazy to walk across Main Street in the morning and see the pumpkin decorations. I still haven't decided if I want to go to one of the parties but I will see what the doctor says.

I hope everyone is doing OK.

My shower was great! So many people who have known mh and I since we were 5 were there.

Unfortunatey mom came (uninvited, it was thrown by mh family) and looked horribly uncomfortable the whole time. She is not supportive of us using a surrogate.

The semester is off to a roaring start, but I am off for a half day tomorrow to have our initial NST and first appointment in 1st tri. I think our GC also did the GD test last week. Hoping all is well!

The best part about the semester starting is that it makes the time pass quickly!

Hey everyone! @jenschultz85 yes the shower is a week from Saturday, I'm so excited! More people are coming than I expected would so I'm so happy to be able to celebrate this baby with everyone. I stopped checking the registries this past weekend so hopefully there will be a surprise or 2

@lincoln79 I'm sorry that your mom isn't supportive, hopefully she'll get over it as soon as the baby is here!

I'm 30 weeks now and have an appointment on Friday and have a long list of 3rd tri questions to ask. No real updates, just feels like the baby is wiggling and stretching and kicking nonstop around the clock now, which is fun! Feeling ok but sleeping and walking without a waddle are getting to be more challenging.

Hi, 31 weeks 1 day today. Everything is going great. Had my doctor's appointment on Monday. Now I am on weekly visits. Next week I plan to take the Tdap vaccine. I will be working for 7 more weeks and then I am quitting to be a SAHM. QOTW - I love fall weather and love to see the changing colors.

Hey ladies! We are 33w5days. Weekly BPP and Dr apt tomorrow. Contractions have totally eased up, but their movement has definitely slowed down. They must be running out of room in there! We had an NST and a BPP on Monday because they weren't totally cooperating. Still feeling good, sleeping is getting tough and waking up to pee 3 times a night sucks, but they are still in there and we are thankful for that! QOTW - Both DH and I love fall. I can't wait to decorate our house - closing tomorrow, moving in this weekend! Apple orchards, pumpkin picking, apple cider, and COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! Go Green!

How far along are you? 28 weeks today

Upcoming appointments? No appointments till the 11th then after that I will go every other week.

Any updates to share? My shower is just over a week and I am just ready to get it over with. It gives me so much anxiety (I was pressured into having one).

How are you feeling? Physically, I am doing good. I am having trouble getting to sleep at night tho. Mentally I feel like I'm being a b a lot.. I'm not normally and it is hard cause I feel like DH is getting the worst end of it. I hate (even when not pregnant) for my belly button to be touched and every night and sometimes during the day he is pretending to feel for the baby but really just wants to put his finger there.. It is starting to really piss me off! But other than that I'm doing great!

Qotw: For me fall means football!! Pro or College I'll take either one. It also means chili, queso, and sweaters. I am excited all ready!!

Hello ladies! @Ashris13‌ I totally relate to the belly button thing, my DH tries to pull that crap too! AFM I'm 33+5, had BPP and dr appt today, everything looks fine. Doc wants to start me on Glyburide possibly, which I hate the idea of. I'm so over GD!! Other than that I feel great most of the time, occasionally body feels like lead and it takes so much to even move, but then it passes. LOs are still super active, baby girl actually flipped last week and is now breech. 8 months of both being head down and now she flips! QOTW: I love all things fall. Really looking forward to the cooler weather!

I'm 29w1d. Next appointment is Tuesday.

I haven't heard the results from my GTT so I'm making the assumption I passed (they said they would call if I failed). The growth u/s on Friday went really well! The boys are forming a side ways 'T' in my ute. A is head down and his placenta has moved out of the range of previa 2.7 anything under 2 they are worried about. His brother is hogging up the ute (transverse) and there were no concerns with his placenta. They were both measuring just under 3 lbs. My theory on why A is always kicking me is because the poor guy has no room, my guess the kicks are for his brother but he isn't getting the message;)

Updates we are taking a parenting class tonight and next week we have a breast feeding class. We have to finish the nursery this weekend because it is the start of college football season (we are the only ones of our friends that stayed in town -so we are the 'hotel' for our friends) and our first home game is the following weekend so we needed to be prepared!

QOTW: Apple picking, apple cider doughnuts, apple cider, of course the cool crisp fall days and the colorful trees, and tailgating on those perfect fall days!

Hi everyone, I have an update---I had my baby!!  Cameron Van Lastname was born on August 22.  His birth story is below, and we are in awe everyday of our little miracle.

Birth story:
I started having pretty regular contractions on August 22 around 1 a.m.  By the way, having sex seemed to induce labor because it brought on contractions the evening before, but those went away.  I thought I'd have some time to labor at home, but to my surprise, they started coming every 4-5 min and lasting 45 sec-min in about 2 hours.  We called the OB, she asked some questions and told us to go the hospital.  My husband finished packing our bags (Ipad, charger etc.) we we arrived at the hospital around 3:00 a.m.

After triage determined I was there to stay, we moved to the labor and delivery room.  I wanted an unmedicated delivery and labored for about 7 hours. The pain was manageable through breathing, however when the dr. broke my water at 7 a.m. the contractions got a lot worse.  Like blinding, searing pain and I was clinging to the side of the bed for dear life.  I asked for the epidural and after an hour, finally got the epidural. It was the best decision I made, because I don't think there was anyway for me to handle the pain for any longer.  After the epidural I was so relaxed, it felt like I just got a massage.  We were able to relax and sleep for a few hours.  When it came time to push, Cameron's heartbeat was dropping dramatically and taking a long time to rise up, the dr. said I was very close to having an emergency c-section due to fetal distress.  However once I was on my left side, his heartbeat started to increase.  Turns out the cord was wrapped around his neck twice and he also passed muconium.  After 1.5 hours of pushing, which is really challenging when your bottom half is asleep, the dr. said that due to my anatomy he'd have to use forceps and vacuum.  We just wanted out little guy out safely, and he was born at 6:17 p.m.  I had second degree tears, but thank goodness didn't feel anything.  Neonatal team was present to check on the baby, and after a few scary seconds of no baby cries, he finally cried.  We are home and settled in. Breastfeeding has gone well, and we got lucky with so far an easy baby.  We've been able to sleep.

Any updates to share?  Last week was my first vaginal check and the first part was OK but then it felt like the doctor was using knives to feel around - holy crap that hurt. Thankfully that part only lasted 5-10 seconds.  Was not dilated at all and 50% effaced, so hopefully LO has made some progress since last week.  

Thanks for remembering @jenschultz85.  I did get the breast pump ordered. It turns out my insurance makes me go through 1 of 2 companies, and they both offer the same pump - so that was probably the easiest decision of this entire pregnancy!  Work people have been letting up on me this week. I think it's not just that I've become really short with them, but also with labor (ha ha) day holiday and people taking vacations, there's just not as much urgency about issues this week. 

How are you feeling? Still not sleeping well and irritable. It's best for others if they don't talk to me. I'm so sick of the daily questions I get and the comment that 'today could be the day!"...ugh. It sounds horrible to say but all the well meaning people have sucked out any excitement I had for LO to arrive. It's like people are so overboard with their own excitement it makes me kind of side eye them and temper my own excitement. That's how I am with everything though.

QOTW: Since we are heading in to September, what are you most looking forward to either for the next month or the fall season? Football Sundays, the smell of fires/burning leaves and Halloween! Fall runs a close second to summer as my favorite season.

Hi ladies 34w6d! Congratulations @Sk8terWoman‌! I have army last 2 week OB appt next Wednesday and we interview our 2nd pediatrician Wednesday as well. I did NOT like the ped we interviewed on Tuesday. This was my first full week on bed rest due to the separation of ligaments in my pelvis... So far so good...but I think that's because I've been horribly sick for the past 8 days I'm surprised my poor baby hasn't decided to vacate premises due to all of my horrible, horrible coughing overall feeling emotionally good. I think the stress of not being in pain at work has made me more calm. Everything is ready for little man at home. I sleep in hour increments, which sucks, but is tolerable, especially where I'm not working. My darling mother did a huge food shopping yesterday and came over early and spent the day cleaning out my fridge, freezer, pantry and putting all the groceries away she's an angel little man doesn't feel so little in there any more which makes me SO excited for him to come so I can see him but as much as I want him here, I want him to "cook" as long as possible. QOTW: fall is my most favorite season, and living in FL now (originally from up north) I cling to anything "fall-like" I can! My mom made pumpkin muffins and a pumpkin bread for me yesterday and DH is going to pull out some decorations for me (really my mom since I'm on BR) to put up.

Any updates to share? How are you feeling?
Baby's doing well. I'm having lots of mild contractions here and there (BH, with a little cramping sometimes). Cervix is soft, but still closed. And DH and I are feeling ready to meet her. In other news, depending on when LO arrives, my mom may not be allowed to visit in the hospital due to a fairly serious bacterial infection she contracted while going through treatment for her Leukemia (that treatment is going well, though!). So, as much as I want LO to arrive now, I kind of want her to hold out until my mom's taken her last antibiotic so the hospital will allow her to visit. That'll be 9/4, the day after my due date. Oy. When I'm feeling like it's not fair, I know it's good to remember I have no real control and that all will be well, no matter what. 

QOTW: I'm most looking forward to taking baby for walks during the day and enjoying the trees changing colors and (hopefully) continued beautiful weather.

Next OB appt is 9/12. Will be getting my Tdap vaccination. Currently seeing OB every 3 weeks. We'll see if she doesn't change it every 2 weeks afterwards.

We finished 4 weeks worth of child birth prep classes. DH found the videos gross, but in the end admitted that the classes were "enlightening". Still need to finish cleaning up/out our room for LO to join us. I submitted my maternity leave paper work and now there seems like SO MUCH work that needs to be done before leave starts.

How are you feeling?

1st and 2nd trimester were so benign that the aches and swelling that came on with a vengeance with the start of 3rd tri took me by surprise. 

QOTW: The fall weather here in Sept-Oct is much better than the summer weather, so we look forward to that.

Next week I have my first NST I will be having them every week until I deliver due to gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. Perinatal appt in couple of weeks then check in with the diabetes center to go over my gestational diabetes sugar numbers.I also will be getting the whopping cough vaccine this weekend. Any updates to share?my husband and I finished our childbirth classes and newborn care classes. The nursery painting was finished this morning it looks so wonderful next up is we just have to paint his name above where his crib is going to be after my husband builds the crib this weekend. How are you feeling?I've been feeling pretty good occasional heartburn tossing and turning at night. Qotw:Apple cider.

had an appointment today, doc likes my blood glucose#s, I lost 2 lbs due to new way of eating. Doc was thrilled as I am extremely over weight to begin with. Oh had wanted me to gain as little as possible during pregnancy. Luckily no trips to L &D this week!!!

Any updates to share?
Not much on baby front. I ordered material to make curtains for nursery. We are doing curious George theme. I have to get them up, my shower is next Saturday and my m-i-l is coming in from Florida to stay for a few days. We are putting air mattress in the nursery for her.

My sister got married on Wednesday! She is pregnant too (4 weeks ahead of me). Last week she and her fiance decided to do a small backyard wedding before my niece comes. It was so cute, totally my sister's style.

Tonight I am babysitting my brother's daughter, she's 2 1/2. DH is sleeping on couch so she can crash in my bed. She keep putting her hand/arm in my face! Lol. Not getting much sleep here! Guess it's training for when my Lil guy gets here.

How are you feeling?
I'm feeling good overall. Been a busy week with sister wedding. I'm exhausted, I certainly can use this 3 day weekend!

QOTW:
Normally I'm most excited about fall/Halloween decorations, the constant smell of fall spices. Oh and the cooler weather. This year it's the arrival of my niece end of September & my Lil guy end of October. I could just fast forward through it all this year because I am so excited for their arrival s.

Sorry to post so late....  I DID go back to work on 8/25 and did pretty good getting through back to school meetings.  By Wednesday though, my dr said I was done. I asked to finish the week and was happy to finish up yesterday.  I helped interview for my long term substitute on Thursday.  I met the parents at Open House on Wednesday night and was honest with them.  I then had a baby shower at work on Friday.  Everyone was so nice and yes, I cried.  The outpouring of support and care really made me feel like I was making the right decision to do what was best for my babies and myself...to take it easy for the final 3 weeks prior to the birth of my twin sons.  As my family didn't have a shower for me, this was especially meaningful.  

How far along are you? I am 34 weeks and 5 days today!
Upcoming appointments? This coming Tuesday, when I will be 35 weeks, I have my next NST and an OB appt the next morning.  I am due for another growth ultrasound on Friday the 5th along with an NST that night too.  
Any updates to share? I just had 2 NST's this week and those went well.  I had an ob appt Wednesday morning and had high blood pressure numbers....So...off to labor and delivery I went.  My bp came down while I was there and my bloodwork came back normal.  I had taken the 24 hr urine collection test last week and fell into the early pre-eclampsia group.  They are still finding protein in my urine and are monitoring me closely.  No contractions that I can feel but they say I have been having them.  All of my sugar numbers were good this past week! Yeah!  I've gained a total of 21 lbs so far and am really happy that my dr's request of no more than 20 - 30 lbs is doable.  Following the gestational diabetes diet and monitoring my bp regularly have made me feel like I can't log one more thing.  My Dh jokes that it will get me ready to log types of diaper changes and how many feedings our boys will be having.  
How are you feeling? Tired....swollen!  My feet, ankles and fingers are getting harder to move.  I have pain in my hands each morning and need to run my fingers under warm water to massage them.
