Endometrin Question

Anyone using or have used Endometrin? I'm on it, and for the first time I completely missed a dose. No big deal right? I read the package and I take when I remember so long as I don't exceed my daily dosage. Well, I remembered at my 2nd dose so I doubled up. When I took the doses I noticed spotting. I miss one dang dose and bam I see red. Anyone else experience this? With RPL I'm naturally a bit freaked. I know spotting doesn't mean anything, it one of those may or may not matter issues, but red is not the color you want to see down there when pg. I put a call into my RE, but just wondering if anyone else experienced something similar? This morning all seems well so that's very good. Also, curious, when did you stop Endometrin? I'm supposed to stop next week (10wks, my siggy isn't updated). Considering one missed dosage is likely the culprit of my spotting, I'm weary of stopping cold turkey next week. I'll be asking RE about that as well. Would love to hear from you ladies, any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm on Endometrin. I was on three doses daily until 8 weeks. Then I went down to just one dose per day. I've missed, I think, two doses this whole pregnancy. I did not double up, I just skipped it. I imagine that yes, the double dose could have easily caused your bleed. You stopped bleeding already, now that the progesterone has evened out, right?  You did the right thing by calling your RE. I would guess that chances are good that you are fine. I was told by my RE that I would probably stop the endometrin probably by 10wks, depending on what my OB says. I've seen that 10-12 wks seems to be common, but you will be kept on it longer for multiples or if your progesterone levels are coming in low.

Thanks for the reply @chucktgirl‌. The spotting was from the missed dose, I notice when taking the double. Looking on google, I think taking a double dose is apparently wrong as everything I'm finding says to absolutely not take a double dose. Oopsie. I sure wish it said that on the insert! Regardless, yes, I did stop bleeding today so that is very good:) Still waiting on a call back from my RE...I'll take not being a priority as a very good sign. Thanks again and best of luck to you.

I skipped a dose, doc said no biggie. Never mentioned doubling up. Stopped at 10w4d. Don't miss the wet squirts. Ugh!

I was put on endometrim at 2dpo and told by my RE to stay on till 10 weeks. We graduated from our RE at 8 weeks pregnant and was scheduled to see our OB at 9 weeks where he instructed me to stay on it until the end of 12 weeks. I was on 100mg twice daily and never missed a dose but had three occasions of very minor brown spotting due to a SCH. I am now 13w1d pregnant no spotting for over two weeks and have stopped the endometrin cold turkey today! I thought about reducing down to one pill a day till week 14 (second trimester) but my wife said to follow dr's orders. :-/. Most articles I had read say that most women didn't have any negative reactions to stopping cold turkey becaus the placenta is fully formed by 13 weeks and it takes over the production of progesterone.

@MrsT11 This is really good info. Thanks for sharing. Good to know about women who stop cold turkey. I've yet to get a call from RE but should by the end of today. I'm really going to push for 12w stopping point instead of 10w. As much as I would love to ditch the mess! Best of luck to you.
