Open letter/TW Tuesday

Dear Self,

Snap out of it. You're not the only woman to be a few days shy of your due date in a heat wave, and you're not the first one with GD that just can't handle the thought of another meat and vegetable meal. Pregnancy is a privilege, stop acting the way you are. Slipping into a depressed and frustrated state isn't helping anyone, and probably won't motivate baby to make his way out.

Also, try to be a better mother to the wonderful daughter you have at home. Dropping a box of cereal on her head this morning because you couldn't handle the pain of your BH contraction was seriously not cool. Also, I'm pretty sure you got judged for bringing her to daycare wearing a ballerina outfit and a WINTER hat when it's like a gazillion degrees outside. You might want to work on saying no a bit more, even if you don't feel up to a battle.

You won't  be pregnant forever

FYI: The cereal is still spread across my kitchen floor. I plan on walking all over it and vacuuming it. The dustpan and I aren't friends anymore.

Re: Open letter/TW Tuesday

  • Dear h,
I know you just got your wisdom teeth out but that's no excuse to be a slob. After getting you and Cooper ready for school and work and get you both fed, the least you can do is clean up after yourself. I barely had time to get dressed and definitely didn't get to eat so as I'm dashing out the door to take her to school the last thing I wanna do is clean up after you. At least put the butter back in the fridge.
    Signed
Your pregnant, hungry, exhausted before 9am wife.

  • Dear LO,
Please stop requesting to see your body fluids/bowel movements. I am tired of showing you the poop in your diaper, the booger from your nose, and watching you spit on the floor. Body fluids are something that we tend to keep private.
