Please calm my crazy

First a smidge of background: My nearly three year old has some neurological issues. That's where my paranoia for this concern is coming from regarding DD.

Please tell me it's normal for a four month olds forearms to shake when she's holding them out at 90* from her body (reaching out, arms bent at the elbows)

Re: Please calm my crazy

  • My little guy (14 weeks) can't hold his arms still when he is reaching for anything.
  • Dr Google (believe me, I know I shouldn't be consulting her) seems to be saying it's normal... immature system and all. I just figured asking others in the trenches couldn't hurt.

  • Mine will shake her arms when I pull her up from eating at the boob. She sticks them straight out 90 degrees and they shake for about 2 seconds until she gets her bearings. When does your LO do this?

Mostly later in the day. When she's either laying and reaching up or sitting in the Bumbo and reaching out.

  • Lexi jitters around pretty often, especially right when she wakes up or when she is getting tired. Sounds pretty normal to me.

  • DD2 does this and I'm not worried. :-)

  • DS still has some "tremors" once and awhile...I chalked it up to a still developing nervous sytem.

This is what Dr Google seems to indicate is going on.  I'm just a Nervous Nellie having a kid already with neurological issues.
