As requested, a live play by play of Mr. Pup updates.
He's there, has toured the kitchens and the campus, and is taking a break. He said they're currently with another candidate right now, but that's okay because there is more than one position open.
Apparently the cooking portion is INTENSE. They provide a basket like on "Chopped" and he has to cook everything in there. He can expand and use other stuff in the kitchen too, but the main ingredients are required to be used. One of the ingredients in Salmon, which he hates, but he's still optimistic. (I advised him to google "how to cook salmon" while he was waiting and he just laughed at me.)
Official interview starts at 1pm. He talks to people for 45 minutes, then cooks, and then does another 45 minute talking session.
This anticipation is brutal!!!!!!!!!!!

He's gone radio silent. He's in there. Holy hell hold me.
I don't know when we will officially know anything. My HOPE is that today they will informally offer him a position. But more than likely they can't do that, and we will just have to wait.
He gets home around 1am tonight!
Very exciting!!!!!
He said the talking portion went really well. He felt rushed cooking and worries he did too much, but feels good about what he made (pasta with zucchini and mahi, sweet and sour peppers, and Swiss chard with Italian sausage.)
He's sitting waiting for them to eat and then they talk again. He said he didn't think they'll make an offer today, but there is still one more talking part to go.
Ahhhhh!!

I think that F14 should be a panel of judges and Mr. Pup should make us all something delicious. then we will all move to Nashville so he can cook us dinner every night and we can watch our babies roll, scoot, scream all day because of 6 month shots (hold me), and make friends.
disclaimer: M has taken to waking up at 3:30 am. I am delirious.
He feels pretty good, but couldn't get a good read on them. He doesn't have his hopes up...I think he is being cautious. Cautious / doubtful because he couldn't tell how they felt. They said they will let him know by Thursday. Thursday is ridiculously far away.
He's going to call me when he gets to the airport and I'll see what he says -- this has all been over text!
I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm not going to lie...I was really hoping for good news today. :-/
College food these days is ridiculous. At my h's current job they have dozens of stations and crazy fancy food. Made to ordee pasta, a grill station, burrito stations, the works. It's insane.
He did say the talking portion went wonderfully. And apparently after he cooked, the main interviewer came to get him. I guess the guy said something like "we're going to be busy, but I guess we can manage without you for the next 2 weeks." Which is awesome! ...but Mr Pup still doesn't feel sold.
He wouldn't be surprised if they don't offer him the job. Blah. I don't know if he's prepping himself for disappointment, or if he legitimately feels like this won't happen.
We'll know by Thursday one way or another. I hate this!
Mr Pup is his own hardest critic. I'm about to call him again.
