Medela breast pump....battery pack or car adapter?

I have the Medela in style advanced pump, and I am wondering for all of you who do have it, would you suggest buying either the battery pack or car adapter?

    My PISA came with the wall plug AND battery pack (8 AA batteries required). I purchased the car adapter separately. Also, while I've pumped in the car using the car adapter, I've never used the battery pack, ever.

    I loved my car adapter and used it frequently. I used sometimes on the way home after a long day and during long car trips. I never had a battery pack, so I can't compare the two.

    Don't pump with a battery pack unless you have no other option. It's less effective and over the long term it can affect your supply.
