Confused when to pump when BF

Hi I am sorry If this has already been answered or posted before but I am still confused... I am BF and LO is 18 days old and eats every 2-3 hrs. At night he eats at 12/1am and then at 3/4am and I usually pump at 6pm for a Boyle for the 3am feeding. My DH usually does the bottle feeding at 3 so I can get more sleep. LO usually just feeds off one boob for about 20-40 mins and then goes bk to sleep. I want to build up my stash I don't return bk to work til nov 1. My question is shld I pump the boob that he didn't feed from after each feeding!? When my DH is feeding him shld I pump since LO isn't feeding frm me!? I am not sure how often/when I shld pump if I am BF him every 2-3 hrs

    You'll want to pump after each feeding and also for any missed feedings. So when your H gives LO a bottle you'll want to pump to make up for the missed feeding.

    When I was on mat leave I would usually nurse DS on one side and then pump from the other. Some people nurse on both sides and pump from both sides. That part is up to you.

    DD is BF every 3 hrs or so and is now 9 weeks. I have figured out that I have more milk in the morning so that's when I pump. After I feed her I pump each side. Before figuring this out I would feed from one side and pump the other. Good luck!!!

    Feb 27/14. Repeat AS for more pics, HB 124bpm  @ 23w3d

    Mar 6/14. Heard HB (130bpm) via Doppler @ 24w3d

    The LC at the pedi told me to pump after my night feeding and after my morning feeding (you have more milk in the morning). And yes pump when you "miss" a feeding
