It depends a lot about what you want in a stroller and how much you'd like to spend. Something that folds up small to fit in a small trunk? Easy to open and close? Do you care if it has storage space? Will you be running with it or using on uneven surfaces or only places like sidewalks and shopping malls?
It also helps to go somewhere like Buy Buy Baby where you can try a bunch of different types of strollers.
amazon reviews are life saving because in 20 minutes in the store you won't know how it holds up or maneuvers on various terrain. on amazon there are hundreds of reviews on each popular stroller, and the top rated reviews are usually very descriptive of how the stroller held up long term and fit their particular lifestyle.
couple basics to keep in mind when reading reviews:
-will you be using it entirely on pavement? going into lots of buildings? Do you jog or walk trails?
-how much trunk space you have
Personally, I am not a fan of travel systems, and prefer buying a separate stroller/carseat as opposed to a combo. So keep in mind when reading reviews that you can buy a carseat adapter that fits the stroller and lets you clip your chosen carseat onto it until your baby is old enough to sit in the stroller seat.
I used reviews to narrow down my choices (the VERY thorough reviews were super helpful) and then I went to BRU to test my final choices in person.. I was able to narrow down to my pick that way.

Ditto! I used reviews to narrow it down to three choices and then went to the store to test them out ourselves. We still picked the same one that was our top choice based on the online reviews.

Me too. I went with my mom when she was visiting to get her input and will go back with MH to make the pick. It's nice to see it in person so you can see how it maneuvers, how heavy it is, how comfortable it seems, etc.

This helps a lot! I been looking at the city mini gt model cause I like to walk but I wanted more choices and I'm a bit overwhelmed
The City Mini, Graco Aire 3, and Britax B Agile are all really similar. Those were our top three choices. If you like the City Mini, I'd suggest checking those other two out so you can compare and contrast and figure out what will work best for you!
Reviews help but go and do plenty of test driving. We pulled stuff off shelves, clicked carseats in and out and folded and unfolded lots of strollers before deciding on a Bob. Reviews help but everyone is different and has different needs so try them out.
We did a combination and reviews online. Make sure to find a location to try out the ones you are looking at. With DH being over a foot taller than I am, we had to make sure it was comfortable for us both.
Me: 34 DH: 28. Married Jan 2012. Started TTC Jan 2014. Got our first BFP April 28th. Baby Boy Born: December 24 2014
Bring your DH if he will be using it too. We got a city mini and it is a bit short for my DH to use comfortably.
This is really important. We started looking over the weekend, and the ones I was eyeing would mean that MH would be hitting the baby's head with his knees in recline position! That's bad! He's also very tall which means our options are limited. In many ways that makes for an easier decision though.
We knew we wanted a travel system so we started by narrowing down which carseat we wanted (lots of reviews, asking friends, consumer reports etc). From there did a store visit to see what the strollers were like. I think we had it narrowed down to three models and then used amazon and such to determine which one to pick.
Based on all the Amazon reviews and Lucie's List and Consumer Reports and other rating systems, I found the one stroller that was consistently in the top few was the Britax B-Agile. Especially as I knew I wanted a 3-wheel stroller, it narrowed it down a bit.
It's light, it's mobile, it's durable. I like it. DH gave it one push at BRU and said it was fine - if he finds it's too short for him after more use, that's his problem and he can buy another one (or baby wear when we're out together) because I like it and he won't give it more careful consideration.

Yes, Britax B Agile is almost the exact same as the City Mini, but for a lot less. My husband is 6'7" and I'm 5'8" and the B-Agile is comfortable for both of us, manuevers well and doesn't break the bank. I think it's the one we are choosing as I already have a BOB Revolution for jogging that was given to us. It can definitely be an overwhelming task to find the right one, good luck!
Yeah, I looked at travel systems and thought that's what I wanted. UNTIL, I tried to lift the stroller and fold and unfold it in the store. It was so heavy, I figured I would NEVER use it alone and they're so bulky for travel. We looked at the simple Chicco keyfit that uses the carseat. My hubby liked how it worked and how easy it was to lift and set up. That's what we're going with.

@lawwarrior have you looked at the Liteway Plus by Chicco? That's what we're going with. That way we can actually use it without the car seat later on. Check it out! It's light and easy to use.
Does anyone use the Britax B-Ready? I'm leaning towards that because it's on the cheaper side but my mother offered to get me the UPPAbaby stroller which I love(sister has it) but I feel it's too pricey. Opinions?
I'd love to hear reviews on that one too! My bro and sis-in-law have the Uppa Baby as well but I feel like the B-ready is much more reasonably priced for essentially they same thing unless I'm missing something!

I'm short and my husband is almost 6'3" so one choice was knocked out when we got to the store because he could barely use it.
