  • We're taking the childbirth class this weekend. Day 1 was good, I feel like a huge procrastinator though because I'm the second-closest to my due date. Some of the ladies are due in mid-November. I realized we totally have not thought about pediatricians yet - but that will depend on whose insurance plan LO goes onto, which we also have not given serious thought to.

    I finally started painting the crib though!
    Typically if the parents are married, a child will have the insurance of the parent that has the birthday earliest in the calendar year as primary and if you out the kiddo on both insurance, the later birthday will be billed as secondary, if you want to have your lo double covered.
    I did not know this! That would put LO on mine, which is fine. I'm trying to convince DH to drop his work coverage and go onto mine while we have a 'qualifying event' going on, because as I recall, his cost for single coverage is about the same as mine for the whole family. He's reluctant to leave Kaiser though.

  • Having what I assume to be the early onset of Braxton Hicks, so kind of exciting for me :) even though I know it doesn't mean labor is necessarily any sooner or further away, it's a step in the right direction! Also, DH and I are going to see The Giver, eeek!! I have been waiting since middle school for this movie to come out!!

    I got nuthin'. :-? Hubby was at work all day SOOO... Went to two different Targets looking for a lamp shade today for a base we already had...ended up with a different base and still no shade! Impulse bought random shit...like dragon fruit and caramel vanilla butter sauce for ice cream...at Bristol Farms. Washed like four loads of baby clothes and put them away. Am I the only one who has difficulty with organizing by size? NB, 0-3m, 3m, 3-6m, 6-9m etc...I got flustered and anything with a "3m" in the the title got shoved in one drawer etc. Now my back is killing me cuz I overdid it...but I'm so going to eat the bajeezus out of the ice cream and that caramel sauce!

    3m = 0 - 3 months

    6m = 3 - 6 months

    9m = 6 - 9 months

    12m = 9 - 12 months

    18m = 12 - 18 months

    24m = 18 - 24 months.

    I hope that this helps.  :-)

  • Still laying in bed because the tiny girl came in and said her hand hurts from her fall yesterday. :( bandaged her cute lil hand and she fell asleep. Today I think I am going to kinda relax and work on the burp cloths and wash cloths I started for the baby. Oh the crocheted blanket too. We had a busy weekend so it will be nice to just sit home and work on a few things I haven't been able to get finished.
  • I shot my 3rd to last wedding this weekend, with a double to close out the summer season next weekend. I've been counting down/dreading these last two weddings at 37w and I kind of want this week to fly by so I can just get through them.

    After yesterday's wedding, I have three sessions today (one of which I've thankfully already shot). Allergies are rampant and I look like a drugged pregnant, bleary eyed hippo. I'm so tired and have all the pains.

  • I want to eat all the things!!!

    Oh my gosh, this!!! I'm starving and everything but also nothing sounds good. Waiting for the toddler to take a nap so I can have some ice cream. I don't like to share sometimes. In the meantime, maybe it's lunch time... What to eat?

    My kids are not napping anymore or this would have totally been my plan.

  • @reverey- Not everything fulfilled by Amazon counts toward your discount :( I was pretty bummed when I checked out and a couple of things didn't count. It might be worth it to add that crap back to your BBBaby registry and then go in with the coupon-- but do the math before you go to all that trouble, 10% isn't worth it sometimes.
  • @reverey‌ We registered at BBB eventhough the closest one is an hour away. We do however live near a BB&B. You can actually pull up your registry there, even if there are no baby items in the store, use expired coupons and have items shipped to you. We were even able to use coupons on items that were excluded by coupons in BBB. If your purchase is more than $49 then shipping is free as well. We were able to get a much better deal this way than using the completion discount.
