How often do you plan to have your little one photographed professionally?

DH has a Nikon camera, so we take our own pictures. Sometimes I wish we had true studio shots, but it's not worth spending the money when we have a bunch of lenses ourselves. I try to be creative with poses and backgrounds.

I do every three months. but only newborn and 1 year cake smash are with the big bucks photographer. I go to the little studio at BBB for 3, 6, and 9 month pictures.

We got a package deal of $75 per sessions so we got newborn, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months with a disc and all rights for each included.

I didn't know that BBB has a photo studio. I'm going to have to look into that. Thanks!

I voted SS. We did newborn pics and probably won't get professional ones done until she's a year. But after that I don't know.

We did the fancy newborn shots. I think around a year/18 months I might convince DH to go to a cheap studio (JC Penny, Picture People etc) and do a family photo. When we have a second LO we will do another set of the fancy expensive photos.

We used a friend of DH to do one month shots, he's trying to break into the business but not "professional". Close enough tho. Next will be at DH's family pics when she's 3 months. No super expensive fancy, but nicer than cell phone pics!!

it's a Picture People, I'm not sure if every BBB has it. they are usually in malls I think. but they do a really nice job if you have one near you!

I voted SS. I was a portrait photographer and still have all my studio equipment, so I take monthly pics of DD. All of my friends are photographers, so they take pictures of her whenever they see her too. And we hired another photographer in our area to take her newborn, 6 month and one year photos.

We got the package for every three months, cake smash, and a free maternity shoot. I'm scheduling the three month shoot now. It will be my last chance at outdoor pics for a while.

We've been having professional pictures taken of DS every Christmas since he was born.  We'll continue with DD now that she's here.  I have them all in an album together and DS loves to look through it.  It's fun to compare each year and see how he grew!

I voted SS. One of my best friends is a professional photographer and she did DD's nb pics and will do more in the future (she already asked if we could do another session soon) but not on any specific schedule. She does them for free so I'm happy with whatever she offers!

We always do a professional family photo shoot in the fall, so he'll be 5ish months then.  After that we'll only do yearly photos, probably at a studio.  We had C's 3 year pics done at Target because I was too pregnant and lazy (and cheap) to book anything else, and they turned out surprisingly well!

I said SS because we do NB and yearly family pics professionally. Other times I'll take them myself in my makeshift garage studio.

Professional shots are beautiful but not necessary. I like candid organic family photos. Pictures that correspond with a memory and a feeling are the best IMO.

We had newborn photos at hospital but LO was hooked up still. I'm glad we did though. Then 3 months 6,9 and 1 year then yearly on birthday and then Christmas card photos.
