Calm my fears please *Update*

Update- We decided to go in. She was wiggling all around :-) Everything is looking good and measurements are on track. No signs of active bleeding. She is breech with her butt on my cervix. So it could be that she bumped me. As a precaution I did get my Rhogam shot. Thank you all for the vibes! PGAL brain is no fun.


I'm 15w1d and I went to the bathroom and had some brown spotting. I know brown is old blood but it still scares the crap out of me. I've had mild cramping all day. I used the Doppler and can get a heartbeat but it's not strong like I normally hear. Of course my office is closed now. I did put a call into the on call. This is around the time when things went down with my loss, so this is not what I want to be going through right now.

I don't have any experience with the Doppler, but I'm sending lots of T&Ps and calming vibes your way.  I hope you doctor calls you back quickly.  ((((HUGS))))

((HUGS)). I know our losses were around the same time period so I completely know what is running through your mind right now. I had on and off light brown spotting during weeks 16 and 17 as well. I freaked out. My doctors don't seem to be concerned at all. My Doppler has been my saving grace these past few weeks. I hope the spotting stops quickly for you. More ((HUGS))!!

Thanks everyone. I did hear from my doc. He knows my history and offered to see me in the ER. I'm on the fence about going in but it would be reassuring to know that things are okay.

I was able to listen to her again. I think she is hiding in the back because I would get a strong beat then it would go back to faint.

Baby sometimes sounds faint to me if he's turned in a funny way or moving around- could that be it? Hugs to you!

I'm sorry you're going through the spotting, I'd also say head to the ER if it'll give you peace of mind.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but my best friend had spotting throughout her pregnancy and her DD just celebrated her first birthday. If you are worried I would go to the ER just to make sure.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. The cramping might be from being dehydrated. T&Ps!

Thank you all for the well wishes! I've been taking it easy just as a precaution and drinking much more water.

I do have an anterior placenta, which would explain why the hb seems faint. Also, explains why I just feel scratches on the sides. It surprised me because I have been able to find the hb right away since 10w.

I hope everything ends up being okay. With my miscarriage I had brown spotting than the next day red blood with very light cramps.
