First US finally! UPDATE in OP (boxermamax2)

Today is the day - I finally have my first US! I am 8wks 2days and have a ton of anxiety and emotions running through me right now since this is how far I got with my last little bean. My symptoms have picked up a bit the past couple of days so I am feeling more confident that we will have a hb today but I can't help but be very cautiously optimistic. Damn PgAL brain is in full force. Will be stopping at the lab for thyroid test before my appt so hopefully those numbers are good when they come back in a day or two. Will update later.

UPDATE: We have a heartbeat!!!! I saw and heard the hb - its nice and strong at about 148 bpm, dr was happy with the growth - measuring right on at 8wk2d. I can't even tell you the relief I felt when I saw the heartbeat then heard it - although you all probably know already! Oh what an amazing feeling this is to know we are now further than we have been before! Next appt is with the genetic counselor, I will be having the Verifi test and will be finding out the sex - I believe I should be having another scan about that time as well, Since I am high risk - AMA, Hashimoto's and history of Trisomy 13/prev mc we will be having more frequent appts which is totally fine by me!! I really like this OB alot! He was so understanding of my anxiety with the previous mc and he went over so much with me and made me feel totally at ease and confident. He also told me to relax and enjoy the pregnancy which I feel better doing now that everything is on track. I will be awaiting the next scan and hopefully not as anxiously as I did with this one.
