Soooo my friend and her giant babies...

My friend just had her twins (about 39w along, no induction).... those "lil" guys came out at 9lbs 3oz and 9lbs 10oz! OMFG. But everyone is healthy and doing well. I CAN'T EVEN.

*Spontaneous* OHSS diagnosed 08.06.2012
Right ovary removed 09.04.2012 via vertical laparotomy
Essure implant placed on remaining tube 06.13.2013; successful followup scan 09.30.2013

    Wow congrats on her healthy babies!  I can't imagine how hard it would be to carry babies that size.

    :-SS Yikes. But glad everything went well.

    TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)
    New RE, 3 failed IUI's moving to IVF with ICSI
    IVF#1 BFP EDD 1/10/13

    Oh my goodness. The biggest baby that I've birthed was 6lbs (and that was my singleton).

    That's my fear, DD was born at 38+5 and weight 9lb5oz on her own. Oh how I hope her sisters don't take after her, I couldn't imagine double that!

    Wowsers. DD was 8 lbs (which is big "for me") but was 8 days overdue. I'm glad they won't let me go that far because I can't imagine two 8 lb babies! But now these babies are measuring 75-90th percentile and have been measuring big since 12 weeks, so now I'm 'afraid' they'll be 7.5+lbs at 38 weeks based on the charts. (not really afraid; I'd be thrilled if my babies stayed in and were that big).

    Wow! I had to curl up my 9lber (who was laying on my chest) over my stomach to get an idea of how big she must've gotten! I hope she's at least 6 feet tall! lol

    Very healthy sounding :-) Does she have any advice on how to get there? I don't think I can gain enough weight to get big babies like that!

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!

    WOW Holy sh!t!!! 

    I gained a ton of weight (60lbs) and went full term and they were still just about 5 lbs each. In fact, it appeared mine stopped growing the last 15 days or so (normal for twins when they run out of room). 

    One of the other twin moms who delivered a few weeks after me in my hospital had a 7.5 and 8 pounder - and she barely gained any weight!! So you just never know!! (all of the babies were healthy) 

    but anyway, just have to say WOW WOW!!!!! :| (glad it was her and not me though!)

    5/17/13 BFP!!! 6/6/13 - OMG its TWINS!

    Josie and Lexie were born on January 4, 2014 at 37w2d
    Josie was 5lbs2oz, Lexie was 4lbs15oz 
    Both had a 9 APGAR score with no NICU time
    Planned unscheduled C-Section due to both being breech
    We all went home on Jan 6th, 2 days after surgery

    So amazing! And painful sounding! We are 29w and 3.3lvs which puts us in the 98th percentile and I can't imagine they'll get bigger than 6-7lbs before birth. I sure hope they do though. Your friend is a rockstar!!
