Re: Clicky Poll - Foundation Makeup

  • Tinted moisturizer with SPF. That and mascara is pretty much my full routine.

  • Also I have no idea what BB cream or CC cream is... I'm not the most makeup savvy though.

  • I use aveda mineral powder. That's the only makeup I put on aside from eye shadow.

  • BB Cream and pressed powder on top. I find that I look shiny with only the BB cream. That + blush and lip balm is my entire makeup routine.

Okay what is CC cream? I get that BB is Bobbi Brown but have no idea what "cc" means...
BB isn't Bobbi Brown, it's a type of makeup.

  • @WasNotWas‌ What is this Garnier 5 minute blur? A pressed powder?
No it's amazing!! It's a matte face lotion thingy. I can only put on that and draw my eyebrows and look fresh as a daisy

  • I created the poll, but I'm not sure how to vote in it.  On most days, all I wear is a CC cream that acts as moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, and foundation. That plus lip gloss or lipstick is usually it.  About once a week because of meetings or a special dinner or something, I'll slap on some more makeup, including concealer under my eyes, mineral powder makeup, blush, and mascara.  But even that routine I can slap on pretty quickly.

One thing I never do without is sunscreen. Even on some weekend days where I don't bother with CC cream, I'll still put on sunscreen if I know I'm going outdoors at any point.

  • For everyone using concealer. I highly recommend Lemon Aid instead

    By benefit?
Yep! I love their "yes they're real" mascara too but ain't no one got time for $35 mascara
Bummer. I'm trying to only by jumping bunny stuff and they aren't on the list.
Super bummer. I just googled that (leaping bunny?) I wonder why tho, benefit seems like a company who would be down with that

I have Lemon Aid but I don't love it. I think it just doesn't work on my skin tone. It's fine on my lids, but not my under eye area.  I do use (and love) Yes They're Real.

Also, for those who want to try something like Lemon Aid but don't want to pay the price, ELF has a dupe. I don't know if it's good.

  • Nutrogena Moisturizer, No 5 primer, Benefit Porefessional, MAC studio fix powder and MAC blush plus maybe line falsies mascara. It sounds like a lot but looks natural.

  • I have been doing my makeup for 2 entire days now, and it's primer, loose powder, bronzer, blush. All the things the very kind Bare Minerals lady showed me how to do :)

We'll see if I can keep up when I have to be at work by 7 instead of 8.

  • @vitafelix‌ I highly recommend my "routine" it's all cream based and applied with your fingers, so can be done with one hand, in a hurry, or in the car.

5 minute blur, lemon aid, CC cream, cream eye shadow, Nars orgasm blush, mascara, eye brow crayon

    Literally takes me 3-4 min

  • @WasNotWas Perhaps after I run through the $100+ I spent at the Bare Minerals outlet on Tuesday I'll look into it :)

  • I don't wear foundation at all, except if I get makeup professionally done for a wedding, fancy party, or something like that. I'm not sure what type they use.

How do you use an eyebrow crayon without looking like someone's half blind grandma??? I've tried a couple times and looked like a nut--tell me your ways!
+1. I'm terrified of doing anything with my eyebrows. I haven't even had them waxed before. They're thin (not the usual way, perhaps sparse is the best word?). It's apparently a symptom of hypothyroidism. Anyway, so I've never had them shaped because I'm terrified of looking surprised forever, and I have no idea how to convincingly fill them in without looking like a rodeo clown or mime.

  • Bare minerals here for work days. Just BB cream otherwise. And mascara no matter what- I look completely washed out without mascara.
