Has anyone of you made your own newborn covers?? I have bought a few onesized pockets and one cover with some inserts and I plan on making a few onesized but wondering if anyone on here has actually sewn there own newborn covers, i was thinking using prefolds at that stage, this is our last (so the husband says!!) So im unsure how much I will save in the long run making them my self, idk if people will buy used homemade covers?? Or if I should just save myself some time and shop around for used nb, and when I'm done sell them! My son was 5lbs so im thinking this one may follow suit and be a tiny bean so I know I want a healthy stash of nb but idk how many I should have! Tia!

I looked into making my own, but after taking into account buying used, reselling, and falling in love with Assunta's $5 covers, it just wasn't worth it. 

It might be worth it if you really know what you are doing and can make some really good fitteds or something, but not with covers IMO.

I have made them no, my mom is a awesome seamstress but im thinkong if I can find some for $5 it might not be worth the time and energy exspecally if I cant resell them! Thank you ladies. What brands should you suggest. I went to a resale shop today and there where a couple I dont remember the brand but were used being sold for $15 I thought that was crazy bc they didnt look in great condition!

Not really worth it with covers. Though I did sew my own fleece soakers. Which we used over prefold and fitteds. Price all depends on brand. You can diapers for as little as $5 and goes up in a huge range from there. Personally for covers with prefolds, I liked my Thirsties size 1 covers for when my DS was a newborn.
