ETA- I realize that this is probably not an UO, but it seemed like the best place to rant.

Got another one that may be slightly less unpopular.
The exclamation point needs to be banned. Or needs to be limited to one use per person per day. Choose carefully.

I don't think fake boobs look good on fitness models, but it seems like most have them and these bodies are mega praised.
The concept confuses me too - they are all about health, fitness, "eating clean", but they have $5K of fake body front and center. WUT?

However, I have a lot of email communication for work and hate it when people go nuts with them in a professional setting.
There's a really good ALS/ Ice bucket challenge debate on M15 in the UO thread. Same with breast feeding and formula feeding. Oh and I think a debate regarding not vaccinating might start as a woman just posted that she does not vaccinate her family.

Fundraising creativity is huge, though, you're right. Part of my job is to generate ideas. We're small and local; we're not going to get the kind of attention an ALS bucket challenge would. But we can try to mobilize the city to support us through innovative and creative campaigns.
For the first 6mo or so, I put a waterproof pad down in the crib, and baby is changed in there. The remainder of the time, I just change them on the floor.
There are SO many useless things you "must have" as a parent, and I've found that you can live without about 95% of them.

I can't believe so many people are up in arms that the dr didn't immediately call for an ultrasound, when it's COMPLETELY NORMAL (yes, caps are required here) to not be able to find a heartbeat at 13 weeks.
Heavens to Murgatroid, people. Calm your everloving tits. If I stressed that much over something so minor I'd be dead from ulcers of a heart attack by now. With my first kid, they didn't even TRY to find the heartbeat with the doppler until 15 weeks, and have a policy not to. I am definitely not crying malpractice on my doctor.
But jeez, you're going to give pregnant people a bad name if you call up demanding to be seen immediately, and if they don't, that you switch practices. For a completely normal duty of care.
(Of course, high-risk pregnancies are excluded from this rant)
My eyes are rolling so hard they're almost out of my head. The potato is feeling snarky today.

Team pad on dresser here. My parts were so torn up after having DD, I couldn't have bent down to the floor if I wanted to. I use it every morning and night with DD and she will be two next month...put her up there, change diaper, grab clothes out of the drawer...awesome.
I'm super laid back about this stuff, though, and I just don't understand people who get worked up over minor crap like this. I mean, I have moments of anxiety for sure, but I've got that logical part of my brain that regulates the need to freak the heck out over every minor detail.

After going through shit for previous miscarriages, I look back and think that I should have pressed for an u/s instead of going through mental hell... even for the first occurrence, before I had a history of m/c. I would have paid for a piece of mind. Did someone really cry malpractice?

ETA: I'm sorry for your losses. I don't want this to bring up bad feelings for anyone.
I just don't think that if you're on a first pregnancy, where the doctor has no reason to believe that there is a problem, that you should borrow more trouble by getting so worked up about something like this.
Monster Truck (It's a GIRL!) is due 19/02/2015!
I'm upset at the general level of up-in-armedness of the entire post. The doctor did nothing wrong. This is not grounds for switching practices.
