So on Tuesday I had a growth scan with MFM. Both babies are looking good & measuring at 3lbs 2oz & 30w 2d (I was 30w4d) with good HBs!
The issue is though that baby boys fluid levels are elevated. The Dr. explained that the first thing they do is recheck for GD, which is not uncommon for twin pregnancy, even though I passed my 1 hr with a 125. He gave me the option of the 3 hr test or to monitor my blood sugar for 1 week 4x per day. I chose to monitor my sugar as he said this is the most accurate! (All level look good so far!) I report back to them next Tuesday to review my sugar levels & for a biophysical test.
I am now going to be seen by MFM & my OB weekly as opposed to biweekly. They will be doing a biophysical & growth scan at each MFM appointment & NST at my OB appointments.
I guess my biggest concern at this point is that I know too much fluid can be a problem & cause an early delivery of the babies due to stress. I'm obviously not going to get to far ahead of myself & cause any unnecessary stress, I'm just curious if anyone has been through a similar situation. I would appreciate any T&P or words of encouragement! TIA if you took the time to read this very long post!
