I guess mine is that I don't find the Thor guy that gorgeous. He's got a nice body, yes, but not my style. Also, he needs to cut his hair. His brother on the other hand....yum.
I really dislike the whole owl thing for babies and toddlers. Just because the owl is now pink or blue does not make it cute.
Not sure why, but they creep me out.
OH and I got this for my shower which just looks like a DEVIL OWL to me!!!!
FFC: totally returned anything someone got me for the shower that had an owl on it - onesies, outfits, the creepy owl doll. Everything.
I LOVE owls and have for years but that is freaking creepy-looking. The wildlife clinic where I went to school has a screech owl that lives there (was rehabbed but unable to be released due to eye issues) and he was awesome! He used to sit on our shoulders during rounds :x
ETA: I like Disney but do not like Disney World. I loved it when I was little, but I went back a few years ago and it was so expensive and crowded. $90 to stand in line to ride like 5 rides and walk through a billion stores? No thanks. It was so crowded (and it was January) that we could barely see the Main Street Electrical Parade.
I am feeling more anxious about houseguests staying over and frequent visitors coming by and how clean my house will be and having it perfect post delivery than anxious about bringing a baby home!!
And having to figure out breast feeding with visitors !! Ahhh! I'm already looking forward to the first few weeks being done and it just being my little family of three with our privacy!
***Stuck in the box*** I want mashed potatoes too!!! But NOT with the skins!
And I LOVE Disney!!! And I am just counting down on being able to take my 2 little ones!! But I definitely haven't seen a Disney movie in probably 10 - 12 years because I know that's all I'll be watching for the next 10 years once I allow screen time...
keelyd It's a funny thing... I didn't have ANY cravings with my first pregnancy but this time around I definitely NEED and HAVE to have certain things...
I love owls. I think Disney World is way creepier.
My UO today is that I hate work potlucks. All my coworkers make nasty food, and I'm not about to spend the money on quality ingredients to make anything decent for their defective taste buds. I just bring my lunch and sit out every time.
This is so me! My co-worker doesn't eat vegetables. I repeat, no vegetables ever!
Me: unexplained infertility - annovulatory
DH: testicular cancer survivor!!

Welcome to the world my miracle, we prayed and prayed for you, and we can't believe you're here!
@dorothyzbornak97 is it weird that I saw the Tom Hiddleston one on facebook the other day and the first person that popped in my head was you? @Nicb13 totes BFFs. But back off of RPattz, he's mine, yo!
I'm too old for him anyways!
Dude, I'm 29. I dont even know how old he is but I don't care. Cougar status? I'm alright with it.
He's like 23 or some shit. I'm almost 34 so definitely cougar status.
This might be an UO: I seriously despise country music. In fact, it makes me all kinds of ragey. I went to a really good friends wedding recently and was a Grumpasaurus Rex because they played country music and it hurt my ears. It's so twangy, whiny and annoying.
.....EXCEPT for Dolly Parton. I'm serious.
HOW is it possible that you hate country music but like Dolly Parton?! She's about as old timey, twangy, & whiney as it gets!

I know! I'm such a walking contradiction! My grandmother used to love Dolly and I remember going on adventures with her and we'd listen to her favorite Dolly cassette tapes while driving around in her car. I haven't listened to her music in years, but the 80's Dolly has a special place in my heart.
OK, so it's more sentimental. I get that.
I mostly leave my radio on country because I can't stand most of the shit on the pop station. I hate that dance mix crap and whatever it is lately that people consider to be "good music". I guess that's a sign you're getting old. WHAT IS THIS NOISE?!?

As for the crap on pop stations, I'm totally with you, @MrsBabe614... which is why I leave my radio on NPR basically 24 hrs a day.
For another UO --- I totally, silently judge (unless it's MH, then I mock) the consumption of highly processed and fast food. I think it's all disgusting, and that's not even considering the health aspects of it. I just don't understand finding McDonald's or Subway or Velveeta, etc. appetizing. Blech.
I thought we could be friends when I read the bolded section. =D> I realized we will never be good friends after reading the italic section. /:)
Thursday confession - I just ate a Snickers ice cream bar as my mid day snack. I have GD but tested my blood sugar and it was low so I figured one ice cream bar couldn't hurt. We will see when I test my post dinner numbers tonight.
Whoops - sorry, meant to post this in the Randoms thread.
My UO - I don't understand why people send out birth announcements. I guess it's nice to send something official in the mail but I guess I feel that the people who are close to DH and me will get all the details of the birth via text from us.
I will add that I am not a crafty person at all and having to put together a birth announcement will stress me out not to mention the hassle of mailing them out. Plus, I didn't grow up in the U.S. and birth announcements are not common where I did grow up. DH is American born and raised but doesn't really care about birth announcements either.

I'm reading this right after finishing the first piece of my greasy steak quesadilla from Chipotle. I was about to get up to refill my Mr Pibb. And then this tiny cute lady sits next to me with her little healthy salad and water. I'm feeling sheepish... I mean I still went and got my soda, I was just hanging my head in shame a little.
McDonalds is not great but it's convenient and I wanted a cheeseburger!
I also think the ice bucket challenge is annoying. Yes it has helped bring awareness to it that it needs had I been nominated I would have felt like an ass because I can't really spare any extra money now. I do donate to the uncompensated care fund at the children's hospital my son had his surgeries at. That fund paid nearly $100k in medical bills from 2 surgeries for him and is very near and dear to me and I feel putting back into that is way more important.
This is why it bugs me... I know I'm getting nominated today and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think it's clever, and great to get people who never donate to think about opening their wallets when they can. But we budget to give to things that are close to our hearts every year, and I'd rather not divert that money to something just because it's "viral" right now.

If you are nominated on facebook, perhaps just share a few ALS facts on your newsfeed or something that helps with the awareness & education goal of the initiative? I work with many orphan and ultra-orphan diseases that have little to no name recognition, and I prefer to keep my opinion of the challenge to myself, but there are definitely ways that people can help that do not involve $$.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

I have friends who were nominated and decided that instead, they were going to donate to another cause close to them (American Cancer Society is one I'm thinking of offhand). I think any call to charitable giving is worthwhile and I, for one, couldn't care less if people give to ALS or some other like organization.
Is it bad I think things like the ice bucket challenge are a little AWish? Not so much for the celebs doing it (because they have money to donate and the influence to spread awareness) but to the 20 yr old college kid who I know isn't donating any money and just filming a video of herself getting soaking wet? Yeah, a little bit of an AW.

Joke's on you then because queso is DEEEEEEEELICIOUS and impossible to make without Velveeta.

I think I have a very low internal hurdle for AWish behavior so I stopped using my internal "AW" filter because it's hypersensitive.

On the ice bucket challenge. ..DH got nominated. I had to repeatedly ask him not to nominate me. I think it is a great cause. But also see that if we both do it. Then we have donate twice.
On wine tread. I have found that I am a 1/4 to half glass kind of gal. Not just because I am a very light weight, but also because it has to be the most expensive dessert wine. So it is silly to buy a full bottle when DH will not help drink it because it is too fruity and I don't drink enough. Plus I always question myself after the buzz. Have a lot of family history of alcoholics on both sides.
On Disney stuff. DH and I have been to Disney land 2 to 3 times in the last 5 to 6 years. We did not have kids and went with all adults. It was expensive, but we had fun. Now with LO on the way. We have decided to wait until he is older to take him. We just don't see the point of one of us not being able to ride the rides because we have our son. Plus we want him to enjoy it too.
I like "dirty" mashed potatoes the way I make them. DH make "clean" mashed potatoes with all the fat and stuff. So I do like his to point too.
Real owls are cute. The ones that are on clothes for babies not so much.
As for man candy. I will take DH over any one of those guys. DH is who I lay my head next to most nights.

I'm going to put McNuggets on my Subway Sandwich and dunk it in velveeta! ...okay I took it too far :-&
Now I want what my brother and I affectionately refer to as "deuce sauce". It's velveeta, rotel, and spicy sausage all melted together. I'm sure it has a real name but my brother has IBS and everything delicious makes him shit his brains out.

OK, I legit lol'd at that. It's usually just sausage queso dip, but deuce sauce gives it a bit of something extra.
I wish I had an enormous bowl of queso to eat right now. Or rather, an electric fondue pot so I can keep it melty and warm and eat it all damn day.
That said . . . we've hit hot boys and food today, so job well done, everyone! Although no hot guy conversation can be over without him.

Oh I have one that for some reason really bothers people. I think eating meat is wrong. I just can't understand how it's ok to eat a living breathing animal with feelings and families etc etc. I know peoples first argument is always "that's why god put them here," but I'm not a believer so I disagree with that. Another is that it's the circle of life and an animal would eat us if they wanted to, but why compare our advanced minds to those of a wild animal who doesn't know much more about life besides basic survival instinct? Anyways, I don't judge those who eat it. My husband eats it my step Son eats it, but I won't cook it or eat it and haven't since I first started comprehending what it was I was actually eating. I've thought about posting this several Thursdays, but I hate when I tell people I don't eat meat so they start going into detail about how they love to hunt or love a juicy steak that's "bloody" n stuff. It makes my stomach turn. And for some reason people LOVE to shove in my face how little they care about eating meat/animals when I say I don't like to.
I'm not one to go have a meet and greet with the cow before I eat the cheeseburger, but to each their own, dude.

well I guess that's kind of the same line as Asian cultures (CHINA) eat dogs and things we would never eat here or consider as livestock. I've just grown up around farming, that is food and they're raised as such. We treat them well, raise them, and then they feed us. I guess I look at a cow like I do corn. Although pigs are super cute, but they're also tasty so that one's a moral dilemma. But I get it, I don't eat rabbits or anything I consider to be cute.

I'm sorry people are blatantly rude to you when they hear you are a vegetarian for moral reasons. People can be jerks. More power to you.

Whoa. This baffles me.
Me, too! Lots of people suffer from wine induced headaches. I feel incredibly blessed not to be one of them!
O14 January Signature Challenge: Snow Fails
Whoa. This baffles me.
Can we still be friends, even if I'm not cool?
He's like 23 or some shit. I'm almost 34 so definitely cougar status.
We can share him like he's a time share yo!
He's 28. I don't know why I know that.
Really?? I thought he was way younger than that. He is my age. Whoops.
RPatz is a hottie, but I'd prefer to rob Zac Efron's cradle ANY day. Yum!

Still trying to figure out when exactly Zac Efron got hot. I can so clearly remember when he looked like this:
