So we had our Home Study last week and we film a short video clip on Saturday. The only thing I have left on my to do list is our profile book.
I was fully prepared to make a book like the ones I have seen on pinterest using Shutterfly or something. I have done lots of them! But, my agency wants us to do 5 pages front and back that we will put in sheet protectors and staple together and they can clip into a binder that they show to Expectant Mothers. Now I am feeling stuck. Do I make it on Word? I want it to look really pretty, and I was hoping to be able to use some of the settings and extras that they have on scrapbooking websites. I saw some of the examples they provided, some of them were out of this world amazing and others were very basic. I am far from a graphic designer, but I am really setting the bar high for myself. And because I am not sure how I want to this.... I haven't done anything except play around with a potential front cover. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also- what topics would you/did you cover in your profile book? Or what do you think are the most important?

Re: A Profile Book That Isn't a Book
Ours was only 2 pages, so no book for us. I was fully prepared to use PowerPoint if necessary, since I would have some opportunity to do backgrounds, colors, clip art, etc. I ended up using what is now Mixbook. I was able to create the pages and have them send me high resolution files of the pages to print anywhere.
Like you, we saw examples that ranged from the very basic to the totally bling-ed out. And they were all from families who had placements.
We got a list of guidelines from our agency as far as what to include/cover in our profile. We had a short note to the e-parents, a picture of us, a sort of table with highlights about each of us (age, job, hobbies/interests), and brief introductory bits about us. The other page was pictures of us, our families, our cat, etc. with captions under each.
