Ovulation test says positive a day or two after ovulating

My "normal" ovulating days this month was 8/13 to 8/18 (this is based on an ovulation calendar and I've pretty regular as far as ovulating and when my period comes - give or take a day prior or day after my beginning period date).  We had sex on the 15, 16th and 17th.  I had a few ovulation tests left just to see if my ovulation was spot on or possibly out of whack.  I took one on Sunday, Monday and this morning.  So far all three come up a strong indication of yes, I'm ovulating.  

So what could that mean?  I do realize that my ovulation dates could possibly be messed up for whatever reason and I'm just now ovulating.  And not to mention that I am very, very crampy which is not typical for me to be this way (I do cramp very little during ovulation) but I've been crampy for the past 2 days.  

What do you ladies think is going on?  I know I'll just have to wait the 2 weeks before testing.  (Just thought I'd ask since it will help to with all the questions I have running through my mind.)

It probably means that you ovulated later that your usual and you are just now ovulating.  Your body is not a machine.  I have ovulated anywhere between CD 16 and CD 25.
If you want to have a better idea of when you are ovulating I would toss the ovulation calendar and sign up for fertility friend and start charting.

ETA: You only ovulate on one day but are fertile for a few days leading up to ovulation.

I never used to cramp much when ovulating, but now? I feel it strongly. Your body can change at any time due to horomonal changes, so that could just have just been O pain.

As far as having three positive OPK's in a row? When I TTC my DD, I had 4 in a row. Remember it's also reading a surge or "gearing up to O" as well as the actual O, so just BD every day you get one.
