Re: **Wednesday Ticker Change**

  • How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 32 weeks/winter squash/10-15

How are you feeling? Symptoms? I've been feeling pretty good.  Sleeping is hit or miss, but whatever.  I think I'm getting stretch marks.  Yuck.  I noticed last night these little red lines/splotches on my left side and legs.  I'm going to ask about it to be sure it's not some weird rash, but I'm 99% sure it's the start of stretch marks.  BOO!  On the bright side of life, my shower is on Saturday and I'm pretty freakin' excited about it!  We also got our glider and travel system so things are coming together finally.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?  I have an appointment today at 3:20ct.  I usually like to make my appointments for earlier in the mornings, but my mom wanted to come with me.  She is a teacher, too, so it had to be in the afternoon.  I really could have used an early appointment today because Lilly has been really quiet so far.  Just a few jabs, rolls, and wiggles here and there.  Kinda freaking me out.

Also, my MIL and SIL are coming in for my shower on Friday morning.  They are both staying with us.  I get along ok with my MIL, but SIL and I tend to not get along quite as well.  Hopefully we can get through the weekend without incident.

GTKY:  What is your favorite comfort food(s)?  I LOVE mac n' cheese.  I had a craving for it yesterday and so I made some.  It was sooooo good.  I also love biscuits with butter and jam or pancakes as my breakfast comfort food.  Fried chicken with mashed potatoes is pretty awesome, too.  I like to dip my chicken in the potatoes.

  • Thanks for the thread! I'm actually on time this week!

    How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 12 weeks/plum/March 4

How are you feeling? Symptoms? Feeling good, just super tired still

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? Not really, thankfully.  We had the NT scan yesterday, and all seemed to be going really well.  Such a relief! We did the gender b/w at the same time, so should hopefully be finding out if we are expecting a boy or a girl really soon.

GTKY:  What is your favorite comfort food(s)? I don't even know where to start, I love food, and hate picking just one.  For some reason the first thing that came to mind was chips and queso.  If I was picking my favorite comfort food that I grew up with, I'd say my mom's chicken parm.

Me 32 (Stage IV Endometriosis, short luteal phase) DH 38

    Married 5/2010

January 2014- DS born healthy at 35.4 weeks

February 2014- DS passed away due to complications from adenovirus

February 2015- Rainbow baby DD born at 36.3 weeks

    My chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/42fd32

  • @erinel Yay for the good NT scan!  Hopefully you'll get your bw results back soon.  How exciting!!  Chips and queso sound good.  Makes me want to have Mexican for lunch.  Mmmm...chicken parm is yummy, too, and what can be better than homemade food?

@mmheartspb Lilly has woken up a bit, so I'm not quite as worried.  Hopefully she continues to move around so I don't have to be worried until 3:20.  Thanks for the recipe!  It looks like you have a TON of yummy looking stuff on there.  I'll have to go through and make some of it.  I used to write in a blog, but I kinda fell off the horse so to speak.  I want to make a new one to write about my pregnancy/parenting experiences and then add teaching stuff next year when I go back.  As for the glider, we ended up getting a Stork Craft Hoop glider + ottoman off Craigslist for $50.  It's actually super comfortable and I love it!

  • How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 8 weeks, raspberry, April 1

How are you feeling? Symptoms? Feeling pretty good - symptoms seem to have lessened a bit today - was doing the boob check all day yesterday and they were full and sore but today not much soreness and they don't seem so full - it could be my pgal brain or it's just a mellow day symptom-wise.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?  I finally have my first prenatal appt and us on Friday - very anxious especially since my symptoms seemed to have waned a bit overnight (again, it could be pgal brain). This is about the time my last LO stopped growing so I need T&P for a good us (especially strong hb) and good thyroid numbers. I will be getting the second blood draw for tsh of this pregnancy - the first one was the day after I got my BFP 4 wks ago so  hopefully my levels are still good. My sister will be coming with me to my appointment for support; I wasn't going to have her come but my husband insisted on it and now I am glad he did because I am a nervous wreck. It's times like this when I hate that he has to work away from home for such long periods of time.

GTKY:  What is your favorite comfort food(s)? I make a healthy version of the campbells baked chicken and rice with cream of mushroom soup - I leave out the soup and add homemade chicken broth, sauteed mushrooms, carrots, garlic and onion and bake with the chicken and rice - omg sooo good and I could seriously eat every bit of rice in one sitting I love it so much! OR poached eggs on cut up toast - my mom used to make this for us as kids when we were sick and it is my go-to breakfast when I'm not feeling well.
  • @boxermamax2 (((Hugs)) for pgal brain today.  Lots of t&ps for a great appointment Friday!  I will be looking for an awesome update.  I'm glad that you have someone to go with you for support.  DH wasn't able to come to one of my appointments early on and it was very challenging to get through on my own.  I love chicken and rice.  Yours sounds so delicious!  DH isn't a huge fan of it, but I'll make him eat it anyway.  He may just find he likes it after all.  Ha!

How are you feeling? Symptoms?  Honestly, I've been feeling really great.  I've been feeling little man move around a lot - he's getting stronger.  I love his jabs and nudges.

My appointment went well!  Hb was in the 140's and she was kicking the doppler thing.  At one point she actually rolled over to the other side in an attempt to escape it.  My mom took a video so now I have that.  Otherwise, everything is still looking good.  I managed to only gain 2lbs in the last two weeks!  Yay!  Next up is a typical check-up on Sept. 2nd and then two weeks later I get to do all the fun swabs.

@carlsonbaby2014 Hurray for feeling great!  Feeling the baby move around is the best.  I love it, too.  Cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!!  I love them so very much.  Now I want one for breakfast.  Or now.

@RN536 I'm sorry you are so tired all the time.  I hear you on sex.  I'm usually tired and positioning is challenging so I think we've dtd like twice in the past two months.  Maybe three times.  The desire is there, just not the energy to deal with it.  Dessert is hard to resist.  DH has started making me look at calories, fat, and sugar in all the desserts I want to eat in an attempt to discourage me from eating them too much.  It's working...sort of.  :P

  • How far along are you/fruit/EDD?
    35w, coconut, 9/24
Today would be 35/35 but I'll have an outside baby sooner than that...looking like 9/3ish at best right now.

    How are you feeling? Symptoms?
Just swollen and bored. Trying my best to keep a decent frame of mind about what is going on

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?
NST on Tuesday was perfect, Lena is a rockstar. My BP sucks a little more though. Next NST is Friday and my shower is Saturday.
I will put our health first, obviously, but I will be so heartbroken if I can't go on Satuday. My mom and MIL have spent so much time planning and we have family flying into town for it. It will just be shitty if things come crashing down before then.

GTKY: What is your favorite comfort food(s)? @classicstar28‌, I am with you on the mac n cheese!

  • @mmheartspb‌ You're halfway!!! I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.
I love, love, love her name! We are using Olivia as mn :)

@classicstar28‌ I'm glad your appointment went so well! Sorry to hear about the stretch marks. Hopefully if they are just starting, it won't be too bad.
I hope you have a wonderful time at your shower, and that things go smoothly with the ILs.

@erinel‌ So happy to hear your NT went well!

@boxermamax2‌ Please let us know how your appointment goes. I hope the PgAL brain eases up for you, and try to remember, symptoms are not a sign of viability.

@carlsonbaby2014‌ I absolutely love that you are having a boring week!!! Just keep on enjoying all that movement :)

@RN536‌ I do not blame you one bit for choosing sleep over sex. I know how tired I am just taking care of myself, I can't imagine adding two more to the equation!

  • @anymax I'm glad the Lena is still doing well. I hope that tomorrow goes as well and your bp doesn't go up anymore so that you're able to go to your shower. Sending you lots of t&ps and huge (((hugs))).

  • little bit of a drive-by from me today, a day late...DS's grandparents (LH's parents) are in town, today is SO's birthday, and i've barely had the time to breathe let alone bump, so hopefully next week will be better!

    How far along are you/fruit/EDD?
    19w / mango / 1/14/15

    How are you feeling? Symptoms?
SSDD again, although now the nausea is returning intermittently.  :(  i also didn't realize how easily irritated i get until people came to visit.  i mean, MIL is irritating at the best of times, but usually i handle it way better than i have been.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?
anatomy scan is a week from tomorrow.  next checkup isn't for nearly four weeks.  i had a bit of a freakout the last couple days because they were REALLY slow movement days (when just a week ago i was starting to feel movement on the OUTSIDE), and when i went to check with the doppler yesterday it took me like 5min to find the HB.  baby is hanging out really low all of a sudden, and i had trouble holding on to the HB once i found it because baby kept moving away, so that was reassuring.  i haven't been lax about the dietary restrictions, but rather embracing the "reputable sources" philosophy, so i've had deli meat twice in the last week (rare for me), and we had sushi on tuesday night.  with this latest thing, i was second-guessing EVERYTHING, so i'm thinking that for my own sanity, i might need to take the restrictions more seriously through the end, so i'm not completely freaking out every time baby changes his/her habits in utero.

GTKY:  What is your favorite comfort food(s)?
oh god.  i have so many.  chocolate.  ice cream.  mac and cheese (homemade AND boxed).  a bowl of tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich.  tortilla chips and guacamole.  pizza.

i think i want pizza right now.  lol

    __________________________________________

@mmheartspb - half baked!  great name too, very pretty.

@classicstar - thanks for the check-in!  i hope your ILs don't drive you too insane.  LH's family are irritating but at least they stay at a hotel when they come.  i hope you have fun at your shower!

@AnyMax - good to hear that baby has been doing well!  i hope you can make it to your shower!  maybe if you take it easy there...stay seated and have an extra chair to put your feet up?

    @carlsonbaby2014 - happy V-day!  ;)

hi to everyone else!  hopefully i'll have more bump time next week!

  • Thank you, ladies

@longcat07‌ Good luck next week - you will be halfway there!! I know it is nerve wracking, but it can still be a bit early to be feeling consistent movement. (((hugs))) I hope your mind can stay at ease

  • @longcat07 Sorry about the returning nausea and anxiety from the slow movement days.  I hate those slow days too, but I know she needs to rest and grow sometime.  Hopefully your LO decides to be more active between now and your a/s next week.  I can relate to being easily irritated.  I sometimes have a hard time with my SIL as it is so I'm worried I won't handle it well if she is at all snarky to me.  Maybe it will be a great opportunity to practice my breathing! Sending you lots of positive vibes for your a/s next week!
