TTC Again Check In 8/20

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. 

A check-in will be posted every week. Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. 

 

Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in.

Jessylane8- 8/12 Cycle 3, waiting to O. AF is over staying her welcome this cycle.

 

mnj05 – 8/12  I started BCPs last night and should get my calendar by late next week!

 

Racheyt0227- 8/12 CD 1 was yesterday. I have a meeting with my RE tomorrow to discuss FET. 

 

MrsAmyDylan-8/12-I ovulated last Thursday/Friday. I'm not holding my breath.

blueberries8 – 8/6 BFP Beta 1 220!

 

Chiwifey-8/12 I'm officially approved to be part of the antioxidant study. I start on CD 1 and will take them for 8 weeks. This pushes me up 1 month so if all goes well with my FSH on CD 3 then I'm looking at a tentative ER around the end of Oct. Still trying to take things one step at a time. 

Efhoping2010 -8/12 Hello everyone, sorry for my lack of updates.  DH's atypical CF seems to be getting worse each year.  He wants me to put off another IVF cycle because he is feeling so poorly.  He does not seem to understand with my DOR and AMA, I just cannot do that   Feeling down since I had to cancel August pre-IVF #4 testing.  Hoping September will work for us   Do you mind if I stay here to cheer you on while I wait?  

 

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own.  Praying for that little miracle to happen.  You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha  I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own.  If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period.  Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating.  We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!  
fullfhope – 6/4 - I have my follow up with RE on 6/12.

itsmevkb -6/25 The mock transfer and hysteroscopy were all normal so I'm on track to start estrace in late July and due a FET mid August.

 

JBDamonm-8/12 Had my appointment yesterday. It went really well. I left feeling optimistic and less overwhelmed about things. I did my infectious disease panel yesterday and am going to call on cycle day 1 to set up saline sono. Assuming that goes ok, I can jump right in if I want. But as of right now in leaning towards starting on the following cycle, but I seem to be changing my mind with the direction of the wind on this one. Not going to think about it for a few weeks! 

 

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I love swimming, but don't get to do it much. I never thought I would want a pool until we had kids. If we had a pool, I think I would swim every day in the Summer!

LauraBeth1401 – 7/30 Also in the 2ww.  Beta is on Saturday and I'll probably POAS on Friday.  *sigh*  Trying to keep busy but I wind up overdoing it and my DH gets peeved at me and tells me to sit down.  Not easy with a busy 18 month old!  

 

mg0202 -8/12 Baseline blood work and ultrasound tomorrow. If the cyst is gone and everything looks good I will be starting meds.

 

MoFree –7/30 I should probably move into the 'TTC with treatments' category since I am now taking BCPs for IVF #2. So far so good, with no unwelcome side effects. We'll see what happens when I start Lupron. We are going to do PGD this time because of DH's genetic condition and two failed FETs despite 'ideal conditions.

 

Pam MG – 8/12 IUI #4 was a bust- now we are trying to figure out how to afford an IVF cycle

 

Pinkmickey24-8/12 Nothing new to uodate. Saturday I uo the Metformin for the last time. Hopefully it treats me nicely since I'll be back to work.

STL34-8/12 1-2 days post O.  Still counting down the days until my second opinion appointment!!

 

Second opinion appointment is August 29!!  I'm hoping things go well with this RE!!

 

Phishgirl29- 8/12 Surgery was on 8/7 to remove some scar tissue. He said the scaring was extensive but he got it all! I'm healing now and I call my RE on Thursday so plan our next step! On BCPs and metformin now to regulate my cycles before my possible FET. 

 

Bellalou – 6/18 Aiming for a fresh cycle on the house in October.

POAS over the weekend (10 or 11 dpIUI) - BFN. but it was mid day and still early. i'm trying to to lose all hope. i keep imagining i am having symptoms but i think this cycle is a bust. sigh. not sure where we will go from here if that's the case. beta tomorrow

QOTW: I am a SAH so I would hire a babysitter to come every morning for 2-3hrs so I could go to the gym WITH a personal trainer and take a shower in peace.

I got my cycle moved up a bit early to qualify for a teacher discount my RE gives. I start Lupron this Friday and should start stims on the 31st.

QOTW: stay home some days, but take a few weeks at a time to travel.

AF showed up this morning. Awesome...a 27 day cycle. I'm dragging my feet about calling the RE.

Qotw: alternate between playing/activities with J and playing tennis. Probably J in the am, tennis in the afternoon when she gets crabby

Follow up with the doctor tomorrow afternoon to plan the IVF that I said I would never do again.

CD1. Sitting out this cycle while I heal and they make sure they got all the scar tissue with my ......wait for it......5th salinesonogram in 2 months. FET next cycle!!

No updates from me just hoping September works for me to go for my ODWU for IVF #4.

QOTW:  Go on adventures with DH and my little ones:) Be a founder of a charity.  Probably still work some but on my own terms

Just wanted to stick my neck out there and let my support system know that I have an upcoming RE appointment in our new province in about 2 weeks. We just want to know if they will consider getting a gnRH pump for DH. We might be willing to try an IUI otherwise with what little sperm we have but we aren't interested in throwing more money at IVF. DH and I are both realistic about them being unlikely to supply a pump as it is not okay with health Canada yet but at the time I made the appointment I felt I needed to check for peace of mind. In my current frame of mind I am ok with OAD right now and am questioning my sanity about even going to the appointment. QOTW: take 6m off work and travel and read and look after me for a change.

Awww, thanks @queenbone for thinking about me.  I've been a little quiet about the FET because honestly it's been freaking me out.

We did the transfer last Monday of our one little frosty and everything went smoothly.  Yesterday I tested and got a positive.  I'm literally shaking typing that out.  I'm scared.  Scared of something going wrong, scared of having a crappy beta on Wednesday, scared of where in the world we're fitting another baby into our house, scared of just everything both good and bad.

Oh, my goodness, Momma! I'm thrilled and terrified for you! lol. Seriously though, I'm so happy your embie made it and I'll be sending tons of healthy, sticky baby dust your way.
