When I offered before he wouldn't touch them. We went to TJ's this afternoon, I showed him the bag, and we had to open them before we even got to the checkout because he Needed Them Now.
I'm counting this as his vegetables for the day.

Avoid Target. I had to go today and it was packed with children looking sad that their summers are almost over buying One Direction binders and Doc McStuffins pencil cases. It has, like, 20 check out counters and I still had to wait 5+ minutes.
I almost got the diva cup because of the rave reviews on here but ended up going with the lunette cup. So far I've loved using it. just a little awkward figuring it out in the beginning. Fwiw, I feel like my cramping has significantly gone down since using the cup!
FFWC: I had minor jealousy because at the school I went to (strict, British curriculum) we had to have plain binders, notebooks, pencils, etc. No jelly pens or Spice Girls binder for me
My boss gave me the go ahead to organize a volunteer day for the company. My background is in volunteer management, so I'm pretty excited. I think it will be great for marketing and staff development purposes, along with community relations. We are the largest employer in our town, but a lot of the residents don't like us.
DH was telling me about an exercise they did at work today. They had to draw a pig and then the trainers analyzed the drawing. Apparently since he drew small ears it means he is a bad listener.
I have told him for years he is a bad listener. NOW he cares because it is for work. Lol. He asked me to help him by making sure he listens to me. And make him repeat word for word what I say to him. Gladly. But I have done this in the past. And it proved he does not listen 90% of the time.
Maybe this job will be good for us in many more ways than I thought.
I feel like all I talk about on here is DHs job. Ha. Thats is definitely all I hear about. Hours of the many things he did each day. Lol.
Tl;dr DH is dtill talking about the new things at work and he now admits he is a bad listener.

My realtor scheduled a showing of a house Friday. I am so excited - we have been searching and there is just not a huge inventory for what we are looking for. This house isn't on the market yet but the owner knows my broker and said she's up for selling for the right price. We had put an offer on a house we loved and after the inspection had to bolt but it sucked. Anyway! Just excited!!
DH is at the Cards game for a company outing tonight....It just started thundering and lightninging and pouring (we live about 7 min from the stadium).
He was feeling bad that he left me with bedtime all alone while he went out to have fun. I am about to pour my second glass of wine, help myself to another scoop of cookie butter ice cream, and I am dry. And also I am not stuck having forced fun with coworkers. Somehow I don't mind doing bedtime all alone....

Also, this is only the 2nd time I have ever done bedtime all alone. The first time ended with a massive vomit and me calling DH in tears and him coming home early. We probably do too much as a team - it would be good for both of us if each of us were a little more self-sufficient with Luke - but for a long time we had so much extra stuff that it was just overwhelming to try to tackle it alone, so we didn't.
I know this stuff should be old hat by now, and many of you do a lot of childcare all alone all the time. But I'm still really proud of myself when I can handle things alone.

True story: my darling girl stood up in the bathtub again. I corrected, "We sit in the bathtub. Sit please." She squatted down and let one rip. It was a little too close for comfort. :-j
@casey78 this reminded me of 2 things, one related and one I've just been meaning to tell you:
Tonight about half an hour before bedtime Luke wanted to swing, so we went out in the yard to swing. And then he wanted up, but he didn't want out - he just wanted to stand up in his swing. Which isn't ok, and I started to tell him that -- but then he started to poop. And this is still gross loose barium poop. Sitting down would've smushed a big mess everywhere. So he stood up in his swing with me holding on to him and grunted for at least 5 full minutes while he got it all out :-??
And, remember the other day you were saying Leah had started saying "ahhh" after taking a drink, and I said L has started doing that too? He's now using that refreshed "ahhh" sound to tell me he's thirsty. = words?

So my male bff of 15 years just broke up with his girlfriend. He told me one of the main reasons is that she is anti-vax but also doesn't believe in soap... like she goes #2 and does nothing to her hands. I get that that's what humans did for most of the existence of humans.. but we live a hell of a lot longer now and I think some of that is related. Also :-&
@gutsymama where on earth did you find cookie butter ice cream?
Trader Joe's. It's cookie butter as in the cookie butter that they sell (like peanut butter, only cookies), put into ice cream. OMG.

Laying in bed, bumping, eating twizzlers, defiantly NOT going to get back up to brush my teeth. I have non-baby responsibilities again, no use expecting me to extend my grow-uppiness to dental care. At least not tonight.
BF is going to get a breath full of chemically approximated strawberry aroma when he comes home from the lab tonight.
@casey78 It's a video from my mom's phone and I can't figure it out....I think it's shared privately on google and so everything I'm trying is blocked

Ds1 and LO take baths together every night. Usually, Ds1 uses the toilet and pees right before he gets into the tub. Tonight, after ds1 was done, little naked LO walked up to the toilet, stood in front of it, looked down and tried to find HER penis to go pee too. It was so funny! She wants to be just like her big brother! )
Hee hee. My DD potty trained she kept touching like she was going to hold a penis. And trying to stand to pee. So she would stand, push her skin forward, and try to push over the toilet seat saying, "Watch out or I'll pee on you.". She has also asked if she will grow a penis. She told me it's "not fair DS and his friends can pee standing up" lol.
