This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently pregnant.

 

If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include you EDD and how many beans you have cooking.

 

Checkin is every Tuesday, feel free to post updates all week.

 

Q: What are you thinking of buying for the new LO? If your DH left soaking wet laundry in a basket for 3 days what would you say to him?

 

BabyKsMommy - EDD 12.3.14 -8/12 24wks today, V-day! So excited to have made it to this point. I have my 24 wk appt on Monday and a growth ultrasound next Thursday do next week will be an exciting week. 

 

ccam - EDD 11.29.14 – 8/12 I'm 24w3d, hard to believe!! I had a regular OB appointment last week and everything looks great, right on track. Next on the agenda is my glucose screening and then my last 4 week appt!

 

 

Ducky719 -8/19 NT scan scheduled for 8/26! I can hardly wait to see the babe. Beside that nothing really new. My "pregnancy glow" has finally arrived (aka, breakouts!) Energy is still down and I'm still a little queasy here and there but overall great. Took my last PIO this weekend and I'm glad that's over. 10W and counting down to 2nd tri!!

Eve_Angelique – 8/12 getting anxious for my little lady to make her arrival! Ironmom2be - 4/2 - My update is I'm in limbo between RE & OB. First OB appt isn't for another two weeks. Since I was still spotting last week, my RE offered to have me come in for another u/s, so that's next tuesday (9w) I'm feeling ok, seems like exercising is causing the spotting (my scientific study) so I'm trying to balance staying active enough that I don't feel like a slug and doing too much to cause spotting. I'm tired and nauseous (at times) so I'm just counting my blessings and hoping the 1st tri is over asap so my worries can hopefully fade a little

 

Jenny935-8/12 I'm 10w1d. Last night was my last estr.ace and my last supp! WOOHOO!! We are invited to go swimming on Friday and I might actually be able to make it work without leaking everywhere!

Kdfecarie, EDD 8/29/14 (CS 8/22/14) 7/22 sorry its been a while life is crazy here right now, and i dont see it letting up till maybe november! 35 weeks now, and baby will be here in 26 days! I cant believe its so soon!!! Been rough with contractions and sickness making a return... Only a few more weeks!

 

KDR1919- EDD 4/16/15-8/12 I'm very early, 5 weeks tomorrow. EDD 4/16/15. My ultrasound is scheduled for 8/25. I'm still taking estradiol and progesterone 3 x daily. I don't feel pregnant and this doesn't seem real yet! It is hard to believe that it took 12 embryos over 5 transfers to get my twins and this pregnancy is from 1 single frozen embryo?!?

 

KMC84-EDD4/11/15-8/112 Waiting impatiently for my u/s to get here! (8/21) I'm exhausted and my face looks awful, but I feel good!

 

LuvBoston, EDD 3/9/15- 8/12/14 10 weeks 1 day, feeling better but nights are awful my stomach gets so distended. Also having Uteran spasms or irritable uterus so it feels like spongy contractions set off by my stomach issues, couldn't believe I was having them this early last time it was 16 weeks. I did the panorama test but not holding my breath as it didn't work last time.

 

mdiblasi10 –EDD 1/30/15- 8/12 I can't believe I'll be 16 weeks on Friday! I'm still taking Zofran, but feeling so much better. I'm eating real food again and slowly started some CrossFit again. It feels great. I have my monthly OB appointment on Friday and will schedule the anatomy scan then. So excited to see her again!

 

Mayzie15- EDD 2/01/15- 8/12 I'm 15 weeks and feeling pretty good. I'm still really tired and wish I had more energy and I thought that would happen soon but not yet.

 

Mnerani – 8/5 31 weeks and feeling good. I'm trying for a VBAC (DS was emergency C due to cord presentation) and I'm studying Hypnobabies again, like I did with DS. I'm only working for 6 more weeks, which is exciting. I love my job but I hated working right up until I delivered last time.

 

 

Pennylane26 -Boy EDD 11.26.14 – 8/12 Nothing new. Just about 24 weeks which is an exciting milestone! Scheduled painting to be done in the guest room (soon to be nursery!). I should probably also get some boy clothes…

srveatch –8/12 Yay!!! Such good news today at my growth scan. They clearly identified the baby as a boy. Little stinker was just hiding. He had good growth and they are going to see me back for another growth scan in 4 weeks. I am feeling much bigger than I was at this point with A but they say I'm right on target. 

 

Robeano-EDD 2/3/15- 8/12 15 weeks now. And started having morning sickness last week. So not pleasant, I really hate throwing up and my mornings just suck now. It's not every day but it's more than I'd like. I have my next MW appointment next week, can't believe how far along I am already. It's going by so fast this time! I pulled out the bella band today and it's glorious! I think I'll need to get maternity pants again (mine didn't make it last time, well that's probably cuz I wore them for like 3 months postpartum ahahah)

Cwhitaker27 – 7/15 just wanted to update here. I'm not pregnant anymore cause baby is here. Scarlett arrived via induction at 5 days overdue on 7.1.2014. She is happy healthy and gaining weight like a champ. She is 2 weeks old today.

I am 11 weeks 2 days! Had my NT Scan yesterday and passed with flying colors. The stupid Panorama test isnt back yet 14 days and counting. My mfm told me I'm negative and pessimistic, I wonder why? No one else has so much trouble with these tests.  

My stomach saga continues too bad I'm not actually having multiples I would look the part:)

Q: the second seat for the baby jogger city select, a pink Maxi Cosi Pria which LO 1 will use and lo 2 will use the maxi cosi pria with tiny fit we have.

Well this happened and I told him I can't take it anymore he needs to get his act together. So far nothing has changed I give up.

DS came home with a nasty flu bug and kept getting sick. He finally felt better Sunday night. Monday night @ 1:00 am I started getting sick and couldn't hold anything down until this afternoon. MH ended up getting it last night too. I had to cancel my update appt with my dr. yesterday and I'm nervous and hope everything is good will find out tomorrow at my rescheduled appt. LO is 1 tomorrow! Where did the time go - his party is on Saturday and I still have so much to do.

QOTW I haven't thought about what to buy our new LO. I have so many things from my son and with another DS his stuff will come in handy. MH would never leave wet clothes in a basket for three days - now leaving his clothes on the floor that's a different story

Waiting for Thursday to get here!!! (Ill update of course!). Feeling cranky, hungry, and tired! It's a dangerous combo some days!

Update: one heartbeat of 132!!!!!! (And a SCH scare, but it's resolving!)

QOTW: I'm drooling over strollers. I want ALL the baby jogger strollers! Most likely we will get a BJCS and the BJSummit X3 double.

I can't imagine DH actually doing that, but I would probably sarcastically ask him what his plan was for the clothes.

Luvboston were they all his clothes? You could throw them out and if he asks why says they were moldy sorry he is being such a butt

Today is 11w. I feel like people are doing a lot of looking at my stomach (it's getting bigger - it's in the range that I'd probably think pregnant or chubby? if I saw it on someone) but that could just be my imagination. I did wear maternity capris today because I was wearing a bigger work shirt that could cover the waistband. SO COMFORTABLE. I got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler at my OB intake last Friday which was awesome, I wasn't expecting to! 

QOTW: Honesty time - DH does way more laundry than I do. He's awesome that way. But, I'm a snarky person so if it happened I'd probably say something like "When you rewash the science experiments growing in that basket, let me know and I'll show you were the dryer is and how to work it." Sorry your DH is being a butt.

16 weeks today. Did my 2 hour GD test today. It was awful, I felt like throwing up for most of it. Blah. Have my next midwife appointment this Thursday, looking forward to hearing the heartbeat.

QOTW: It's gonna depend on the gender, if it's a boy I can't wait to buy some more clothes. But either gender I want to get a good double stroller.
Hubby and I both split doing laundry, hubby is more prone to leaving the clothes in the washer, the record for rewashes has been 4 so far

Going on 25 weeks, I feel huge lately! A is teething and is mad at my bump... She tries to push it out of the way. DH has left the laundry in the washer several times. I have to say, I've done it as well. While it isn't great, we are both busy working parents and trying to keep up . We just rewash with bleach. The one load we ruined were towels... I am pretty sure if you hang them out in the sun after a rewash it will cure the mildew smell.

Update: Due really any day now, I've been saying all along EDD 8/29 but I learned that my midwives had my date as 8/23. So that will only matter if I go much over the 29th but I really hope that she comes some time this week! I am so ready for her!

QOTW: I have gotten clothes, because past about 0-3 months there isn't much neutral stuff! I haven't gotten my double stroller yet, I plan on baby wearing for awhile so I won't need one right away. I do have a double stroller that my sister-in-law is using at the moment, so I will just get that back whenever I need.

No real updates, just truckin' along!  I'm 25w4d today- getting big and feeling lots of movement. 

QOTW:  LO #2 needs new furniture and we need another monitor camera, but besides that, no big purchases since we have everything from DS and it's all neutral.  I won't be buying a double stroller just yet since I plan on wearing this LO.  We'll also need clothes regardless since I'm team green and it's a completely different season than DS.  We have some neutral stuff that will get us through the first few months though. 

DH only does his laundry on occasion (we wash his separately since it's gross from work).  He hasn't left his stuff in the washer that long and he also has no sense of smell, so he probably wouldn't even realize!  I guess I would just tell him to rewash his shit and get it out of my washer machine!

Update: Going in for a BP check today (I'm on every other week appts now), fx it's good! Had one high reading a few days ago but overall the labetelol is working its magic! Did have a bit of protein in my urine last week (+1) so they'll be checking again today. I'm feeling good so hopefully the test results match up!

QOTW: Just starting to buy baby boy clothes (yay!), our big purchases will be a second crib and the second seat for our B-Ready stroller. I'd also love to buy a double jogging stroller (the Bob Dualie!!) in the spring to get my butt back in shape!

As for the laundry, DH doesn't do laundry but if he did I wouldn't be happy with that situation! I love DH but even he will admit that when it comes to indoor housework, it's not really up his alley. He does well with reminders, but for the most part I just do it all, his area is outside - pool upkeep, lawn, trash, etc. To be honest, I kind of like that he leaves me to the indoor housework, I do it better! Is that weird?

@ccam and @srveatch - we are due within days of each other! This has registered before but just realizing it again. (My ticker is off by a few days, I'm 25 weeks).

I have an induction tentatively scheduled for 11/26ish. Hoping I go a few days before so I can be home for Thanksgiving!

Going to be a fun few weeks seeing who goes first!

@PennyLane26 My RCS is scheduled for 11/24, but I wouldn't be sad if I went a little earlier!  Either way, I will be home by Thanksgiving which I thought was important for DS.  One plus of a CS is being able to schedule it when I want!  They actually just called to let me know the OB I will have that day... it's getting real ladies!

25 weeks today. I had a regular appt on Monday and both babies had good heart rates. I have a growth scan tomo which I am excited about as DH will be coming. He hasn't seen the babies since 16 wks. I'm on 2 wk appts now which is great because I'm super nervou about ptl.

QOTW: I still need to purchase car seats for these babies. It has been a hard decision for me. As for the laundry dh wouldn't do that, he's good about the laundry. Sorry your DH did that.

Update: I had a bleeding scare today with a little light pink bleeding. I went to the clinic with the hope of getting another beta for reassurance, especially because if things are going in the wrong direction I rather know ASAP. They offered to do an ultrasound as well. I saw a gestational sac with a yolk sac which is pretty much exactly what you'd expect to see at 5w1d. There wasn't a visible fetal pole yet. They saw no obvious source of the bleeding, though I do have a cyst on my right ovary. 

My beta came back at 10762. I am happy it is increasing but it is a bit weirdly high for what was seen on the ultrasound for a singleton so I am not sure how to explain that. I am happy that so far it looks like a singleton pregnancy -- twins are awesome but with my history, a singleton is definitely the safest bet. I will go back next Thursday and hopefully we will see a heartbeat and fetal pole then. Just praying that everything keeps progressing!

In other news, I look about 20 weeks pregnant between Prednisone and the standard IVF bloat. It's so awkward, especially this time of year when I can't hide behind a big sweater or sweatshirt. It makes me feel gross but as long as everything continues, it will be well worth it.

QOTW: Trying not to put the cart before the horse since I'm like 2 seconds pregnant, but I think if this pregnancy works out I'll go for a city select. 

As for wet laundry sitting in a basket for 3 days, it is not 100% outside the realm of possibility (though it would be inadvertent if DH did this) and I would probably go ballistic

@srveatch it's crazy to me that your LO notices your bump! Our LO's are about the same age and mine hasn't given ANY indication that he notices it- and I'm almost 34 weeks. Funny.

@Eve_Angelique‌ so excited to get an update when LO arrives!

Update: Almost 34 weeks and feeling great. Our shipment from Kenya just arrived to the U.S. (2 months at sea!) and now it "just" has to clear customs. That could take 2 days or 2 months, so I'm praying it's sooner rather than later. I really want to be settled in before the new baby comes. I'm so over moving!

QOTW: Double stroller and another video camera for the monitor. I can't imagine not doing laundry for three days- I'm kind of obsessed. But he would definitely get an earful. I'm so cranky when I'm pregnant!

@Ducky719‌ this May gross you out but put plain yogurt on your yeast, fage is the best. I had a yi for 6 weeks while pg this is the only thing that helped after 5 rounds of diflucan

I'll be 17 weeks on Friday! Things are going well and I'm loving my growing belly and feeling little flutters    I'm a very happy mama right now and really letting it sink in that I'll have two kiddos in January. Looking forward to the anatomy scan on Sep 4th.

QOTW: We've already bought a bag full of girl's clothes, which has been so fun after buying boy clothes for the last two years. I've also started on ideas for her room. I'm just adding a few things to bring in some color and make it hers. I am loving coral and a few arrow fabrics I found.

MH does all the laundry (part of our chore split) so he does a great job at it. However, I think we've both left wet clothes in the washer for too long before, ha!

@ccam and @PennyLane26‌ they are talking about inducing me at 38 weeks but I prefer to wait til 39 if possible. That would put me between Nov 20-27th The baby only has one artery through the cord. That coupled with my History of HBP is causing them to follow baby's growth carefully

@Mnerani‌, DD doesn't understand at all what it is. She just pushes it or backs up into it and tries to get it out of the way when she is trying to sit In my lap. She's just pushy in general

Ha if they were just his they would be in the dump already! It was LO bathing suit, her two beach towels, his beach towel and bathing suit. Never went into the wash machine just soaking wet in a dirty laundry basket. And LO swim diaper is Mia.
