Eden: Male or female?

Do you consider Eden a male or female name? I've always considered it a name for a girl (DD was thisclose to being named this). But I realized that I've never actually met a female Eden, but I've known 3 boys with this name. Just wondering what most people think of with this name.

I know 2 edens. 1 is a 15 year old girl and the other is a 7 month old boy. The mom of the boy got a lottttttt of back lash for giving her kid a "girl" name. I think it's sweet and fits him well.

How bizarre.  It never even crossed my mind that it would be or could be a boy's name.  To me, Eden is as feminine a name as Mary or Elizabeth or Serafina.

It is a place name, and obviously biblical. So I say it would be fine for either. But someone naming a boy Eden should recognize that it is way more popular on a girl. If I saw it written on paper, I would automatically assume girl.

I've never heard of it for a boy. I always thought it'd be 100% a girl name.

I know a baby girl named Eden and taught a boy named Eden who would probably be 16-17 by now. I think it's used as a male name in the Jewish community.

This is a female name in my mind.  My Jewish friend just named her baby girl Eden.

I have only ever met a female Eden. I also just think it sounds strange for a boy.

So so feminine! I can't believe people use it for boys!

While it may be unisex in actuality, it screams girl to me. I think of Eden Wood from Toddlers and Tiaras (yes I admit I watch although don't think I would ever participate!).

My 8 year old niece suggested Eden as a name if our babe is a girl.

I definitely think girl. But I've only met 1 kid with this name and it was a boy. I remember thinking how odd for such a girls name to be on a boy but I guess it's not that odd.

I've never given it much thought, but I had no idea it was unisex. I don't recall ever meeting one irl.

Oddly, I associate Eden with Barbara Eden of I Dream of Jeannie. Maybe that is why I think of it as a girl name? Even though it is her LN not FN. Who knows. Clearly I need another cup of tea.

Without any context I would assume Eden was used for a girl because I've only heard it as a girl name.  But does Eden have grammatical gender in Hebrew?  I don't know if the sex it's used for has to align with grammatical gender, but that would make the most sense to me.
