Hello May mamas-to-be! 
I got my BFP Saturday after completely giving up on this stupid cycle. I only tested then because I had plans to meet up with a group of my crazy internet moms group and wanted to drink without guilt. Well to my shock I saw a line!! Anyhow, I am the mama to my DS Sam, who is 2.5 years old. I am nervous and excited about adding a second to our family, Praying for a sticky baby, since we have previously experienced loss. Looking forward to getting to know you mamas!

Cycle/Month: 1/2 (of charting)

CD/DPO: 43/9 (guessing, based off of temps and CM)

EDD: May 1, 2015 

Timing: -5,-2,-1,+1

What we did: Well, since I thought my FW was way earlier in the month, we just had sex as normal during my actual FW. I temped and charted. I used OPKs/temp to detect first surge, but that was wrong. Thought we were out and I was just counting down to CD60 to call my OB. I have been testing since like CD22 with lots of BFN. So this morning was a shock! 

How I told SO:  I finally got to tell my DH yesterday. I had a plan in place to tell him to make it a bit more of a surprise for him. Since with our last 2 BFPs I just blurted it out. So, here is how it went down. Several months ago I came up with my idea and found a photographer to help put it in place. I took DH out to meet this photographer. When we got there he was very confused as to what we are doing. The photographer almost spilled the beans, but he did not catch it. LOL. I pull out my tests (in a plastic baggie of course) and hand them to him. As I do that I hold up the signs I made for the shoot. He was really excited. Saying "Really?!" Then asked if I had gotten appointments set up yet, which is the way he reacted when I told him about the BFP with DS. He is very nervous we will have another loss, but he is so excited. A little background. We are a first responder family, I was a firefighter and DH is an officer. We have lots of jokes between us. Of course cops and donuts. And he always says fire does nothing but "stage" never actually coming to calls. So I played a little with our jokes. DH LOVED it!! Here is the reveal surprise picture I had set up with my photographer to do! We will be using the picture to tell our families. And eventually use it to announce, once we feel we are in the clear, with our other friends. 


Symptoms: Mainly sore boobs. They feel heavy. Surprisingly not too much else.

:-h from April '15! That reveal pic turned about absolutely awesome! When you posted about it on TTGP I was wondering how it would turn out! Love it! 

Since my EDD is April 30th, I have a feeling I will be straddling both boards. I already feel SO far behind most of the April ladies.

@PenguinMG ~ I figure the likelyhood of me actually delivering in April with a EDD of the 30th isn't very high. So I hope nobody minds me straddling both boards!

@mrsberg9282013 : I definitely do not mind. I will be on April for a while too and straddling, especially as we wait for this board to get more established with May mamas to be!
