Full name and address and SSN number? I plead the 5th.
What do you do for a living? Do you love it? If not then what would you want to do?
I am an event planner. Most of the events I plan are for non profits, so fundraisers. Anything from small get togethers (10-15) to large functions (600+). Galas, banquets, golf outings, events with local pro sports attendees, ground breakings, etc. I do love it most of the time because I get to connect people to their passions and bring awareness to excellent causes.
But if I had to change it up and do something I loved more (because less stressful), it would be refinishing or re-purposing antiques and older items. I like bringing things back to life and functionality.
Favorite movie? Why?
Its hard to pick just one, because I actually have a list based on genre. But, The Man from Snowy River has always been a favorite. It started out because of a love for horses, but its a good story too.
Who are your favorite people on f14 and why?
These questions are always hard because each person brings something different to the table. I love the diversity that F14 brings to the table and even reading the differing opinions. I am impressed by some people's memory banks, the length that mamas will go to fight for their children, the depth of personalities, the ability to be funny over text, and the wealth of knowledge.

I am cleaner when it is off the cob. On the cob, I have a surprising knack for shooting kernels clear across a room. So, if I am eating out, always off the cob for the sake of other diners.

Saver to a fault. When we got married, I frustrated my DH because I buy almost all generic and he was a name brand guy. Note the was. ;-)
Guilty pleasure, hmmm. Probably right now, spending guilty pleasure would be fancy bread at the farmers market or my newest woven wrap (Lately, my Dh thinks Im crazy, and I have been a bit obsessed...)
Embarrassing favorite music would be a tie between Bollywood soundtracks or old folk music.

Tea or coffee and how?
Pets?
Favourite shoes?
Is there something you will spend more money on even if there's a cheaper alternative?
Tea everyday. Hot with milk.
No pets right now, just cows and chickens.
I will absolutely spend money when I feel the quality is better. Certain food ingredients, the place we go that works on our cars (a bit more expensive, but trust them to do it right and tell us what really needs fixed), certain baby items, etc. Also, when its handmade and I meet the individual making it, if its a quality item, I want to support them.

Currently I have Jab we Met in my car. I figure LO needs to grow up multicultural and I love rocking out to it. Don't ask me to dance though.

I grew up working with Belgian drafts, harness horses for carriage rides. In middle school and high school, mostly English and hunt seat. I competed in the local circuit. Though my saddle preference is English, I have also done some contesting (barrels and poles). My favorite is combined training/eventing. I get a thrill riding over acres of land and jumping obstacles. Don't ride currently. :-(

Favorite Disney movie and why?
Favorite quote?
The nicest thing you've seen someone do for someone else?
Best things about your personality? Worst?
Favorite love story/movie?
Most embarrassing thing that has happened while DTD?
Favorite joke?
(Edit spelling)
Disney cartoon is Robin Hood. Have always loved the stories and I think foxes are adorable and smart creatures.
Quote, I have two: "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." - Sir Winston Churchill and
"Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. No one can become fully aware of the very essence of another human being unless he loves him." - Viktor Frankl
Nicest thing? I was young and with someone who I know lives on very little and doesn't have much extra. But I saw them leave a $100 tip on a $4 bill. It wasn't Christmas or anything like that. I asked them why, and they said what amounted to "I have everything I need, a little in the bank and food on my table. That waitress was telling a coworker she was struggling to pay for things. This time. I could help."
Best thing: I am very reliable. Ask me to get something done, and come hell or high water, it will get done.
Worst: I am not always good at saying "no" so I end up with a lot on my plate.
Favorite love story? Persuasion by Jane Austen, though followed closely by Pride and Prejudice
Embarrassing thing while DTD: We were staying at a friend house for the weekend and they had left for the afternoon to do something. DH and I took advantage of the afternoon and started getting frisky after the movie we were watching ended. Thankfully we were under a blanket and still had shirts on, because they came home. Hello awkward moments...though not sure they realized it (movie credits still playing, so we could have just been laying under a blanket). And we are still friends with them, encase you wondered.
Favorite joke: I have terrible delivery and the brain of a gold fish. The only one I ever remember: what kind of cheese will never belong to you? Nacho cheese. (Not your cheese.)

Favorite candle scent? If you could spend a week anywhere in the world where would it be? Do you have a song that makes you happy? If so what is it?
Candle: I'm a floral girl. Lavender or lilac especially.
I would love to go to Australia and New Zealand, but a week isn't long enough. Therefore, I want to take DH to Northern Ireland and revisit the area I lived in.
Happy song: Music has a lot of emotions, and there are a ton of songs that make me happy. Most are because they are linked to certain memories. But one that always brings a smile to my face: "Hey Good Looking." My grandpa used to sing it to my grandma a lot, and DH and I walked out to it at our wedding. (I promise I listen to the Top 40 too).

I am loving this AMA!
I always think that your screen name is Noel plus random letters. So how did you come up with your SN?
What traits do you hope LO inherits from you? Which ones do you hope don't get passed on?
What is your favorite spot in your home?
Noeth is actually "pure" in Gaelic and ola is "life" in Hawaiian; or so Google translator tells me for both. If its lying, then its a completely random name. But I chose it when wanting a screen name in college, and I felt that living life to the fullest was kind of a "pure life". I translated the words in a bunch of languages and these two sounded the best together.
Traits: The ability to work hard, save well, love people, take the adventure before him, and appreciate natural beauty in the world around him. Physically, if he wants my height that would be okay with me. I'm 6ft and have (almost) always enjoyed being tall.
I hope he does not get my shyness, it has been a hindrance at time. Physically, I hope he doesn't get my fine straight hair. I can't do a single thing with it to make it look good. I blame my hair, but it could be me...
Favorite spot in our home? Right now its C's room. I love being in there and seeing how it came together to fit him. Lots of love went into that room.
"Elsie Irene was born sleeping at 35w 6d on December 8, 2012. Mommy and Daddy miss you sweet girl."
Ahhh...you lived in Ireland??? I'm dying to take DH.
And Wicked is amazing.....and I dislike musicals, but I loved it!
Do you own a Swingline?
What do you put on your tacos?
If you were a musical score, what genre would you be?
I did, it was fantastic, and I think you should! I believe everyone should travel out of the country of origin at least once if they are able to.
Can't believe I hadn't gotten the swingline question yet. I own several.
Tacos? Usually all the cheese and all the veggies! But, since I can't have dairy... beef/chicken tacos get lettuce, salsa, corn and beans. Fish tacos, I love a little place downtown that sells them. They have an awesome cabbage slaw they put on them.
Genre? Probably Americana mixed with some international flavor.

If a movie was going to be made about your life, what would it be called and who would play you?
Oldest thing you own? Most recent thing you've purchased?
It would be called The Rainbow Conspiracy because I am an eternal optimist and C is my rainbow baby. I feel like Anne Hathaway would probably play it well.
Oldest thing: We own several pieces of furniture that date somewhere in the 1800s. I am not pro enough to be able to tell what decades.
Most recent: Not groceries? An oscha woven wrap that I am splitting with another local mom.

Favorite restaurant and what do you order? (If it's local I'll totally be trying it!)
***stuck***
Locally, we really do enjoy Paxtons. I have yet to get anything there I didn't like and I keep trying something new each time. But I do stick with the waffle fries. The regular fries or chips are meh.

Ooh, you're a fellow horse person! I also love Man from Snowy River. We watched it every summer at horse camp.
What is of your favorite things about your LO?
Best and worst dates?
Favorite thing about LO? He is so observant and serious. So when you get a smile or a laugh from him, its totally genuine and heartwarming. Love how persistent he is (wont love this when he is 2 probably...)
Worst: Went out with a guy a worked with. Met him near work, because it was a common meeting place and between where we lived. He wanted to take me for sushi but was newer in town so I drove. I am sure he was nervous, but it was super boring dinner. Then we went to a local place for coffee. A mutual friend lived across the street and we often went there to watch The Office. It happened to be the night it was on so he suggested that we go over there to say hi. The mutual friend had just gotten a racing bike (motorcycle) and offered me a ride. So off I went for this ride, leaving my date sitting there. I knew it wasn't going well, but I did feel immature later for going off and leaving him.
Best: Dh created a scavenger hunt for me. He was busy at work and couldn't take me out, so he made up clues (stayed up all night making them) and drove them to my house on his lunch break. It killed time, was fun and thoughtful, and he was waiting for me when I got done.

I have a lot of great memories from high school. I had a good group of friends, a job that I enjoyed and spare time to do things I enjoyed. Right after graduation, I got to backpack part of Europe with my older sister. It was a month long adventure and we survived with great stories and life lessons.
Favorite season/holiday?
I love fall, but one of my favorite odd holidays is St Patrick's Day. We have a lot of fun family traditions.
If you had a catch phrase what would it be?
Probably something like "They don't make it like the used to."
"Elsie Irene was born sleeping at 35w 6d on December 8, 2012. Mommy and Daddy miss you sweet girl."
What's your favorite family tradition? Is there a new one you'd like to begin with LO?
What's your ideal family vacation?
One of our odd traditions is on or near St Patrick's Day. When I was little, my grandparents would visit around that time. They would hide a box somewhere. After they left, they would send us a letter with a clue in it. The clue led to other clues: inside and outside. (One year my grandma used lines from old hymns...it was impossible to figure out some of the answers.) The clues led to a box filled with random green items: spearmint gum, sour cream and onion pringles, green underwear, green kitchen scrubbies, beads...whatever she could find at the dollar store. It was awesome and always made the holiday seem more special. I want to continue something like that.
Ideal family vacation: It would be exploring somewhere. We aren't much for just sitting and doing nothing. DH and I both have to explore everything we can. It would be a mix of outdoor parks and indoor museums. It would also be great if it had quaint little shops by local artisans.
