Charters I need help...FF and opk do not agree. Now either 17 or 18 DPO and still getting BFN.

Hi everyone!

I'm having a very frustrating charting month.

Actually I had an HSG on CD 10 and by looking at my temps it look a like I ended up ovulating the same day (so I assumed it was a lost month).  However I got a very positive OPK twice on CD 11 (smiley in the morning and smiley again at night).  Tested again on morning of CD 12 and another positive however this time I used the internet cheapie brand.

Now my temps are still up today (not as high as before) but if I go by the temps I would have O'd CD 10 and I would be 18DPO today.  If I go with the OPK's and CD 11 as ovulation then today would be 17 DPO.  Oh and another thing FF removed my crosshairs today (it used mark CD 10 as O day) because I went over my luteal phase which is usually 16 or 17 days and it said I had conflicting O info so they can not pin point the exact day.  I also took a test today and it was a BFN.

Any thoughts?  Anyone with similar situations?

I had counted this cycle as a lost one anyways, but just curious if anyone had any though here.

I think that CD10 looks most probable for O day. I'm not sure why you would see a positive OPK after that point; although, I have heard that it's possible to experience multiple surges. Maybe others have some insight?

I feel the same way about CD 10...and I was not going to test because my temp had gone up ( I usually O on CD 11 to CD 16), but I was curious and of course just to confuse things there it was positive OPK in the morning and in the evening and the day after that.  I was thinking the HSG maybe has something to do with it. 

I had not considered a second surge. Can that cause multiple ovulation?  Sorry if this is a silly question.

I am no means an expert, but I've heard that we can sometimes experience multiple LH surges before an actual ovulation. However, that doesn't explain your positive tests after the proposed O day.

Two years ago when I first started TTC I had an 11 day LP. By this last spring my LP had moved to an average of 15 days, with three cycles in that year and a half or so where I had 18, 18, and 20 day LPs. All of this confirmed by both temping and OPKs. Random longer LPs can happen, for no reason.

I can't open your chart, so I don't have valuable insight except of course to say I hope you are just testing too early and you did O later.  Without seeing your temps, etc I cannot make more of a comment than that.  Best wishes

I can't see your chart either but I can tell you when I had my HSG I had a positive OPK for 5 days and I ended up ovulating later than I'd ever ovulated. I have heard the same complaint from other people that the month they had an HSG caused ovulation to be delayed.

Well this morning my temp dropped dramatically to 97.10 and I have been having those lovely AF cramps so she's on her way.  On the positive, I had already anticipated that this cycle might be a bust since I O anywhere form 11 to 16 and the docs order were no DB until 24 hours after.  Now onward to the new month to get to work ; )

I attached it again here.  In any case my temp dropped today to 97.10 so AF is on her way.  Sorry the chart didn't show up.  Still trying to get the hang of posting.  I think from my temp drop today that I probably O'd either CD 10 or CD 11. 

Like I said to Pinto I kind of knew this month would be a bust but of course you hope that there is a little miracle in the making.

I appreciate you taking the time to give me some feedback.  My Temp dropped today to 97.10 so AF is on her way,  I think I O'd either CD 10 or 11.  Those are the only days that really make sense to me and based on my temps.  So I guess my LP this month would be either 18 or 19 days.  I'm usually 16/17 days. 

I kind of wish that my LP was shorter 15 days sounds great to me!  AT least the wait time is cut short.

I think I see what I did wrong.  I had to get rid of the bracket and the My Ovulation Chart thingy.

Oh well I guess it's a learning curve!

Yes agreed!  LP's longer than 14 days can kiss it!  Best wishes

No problem.  I did exactly the same thing once and someone fixed it for me so that is how I know.

Oh well the wait is over for me.  AF just showed up.  Time for that glass of wine! LOL!
