mother's helper vs babysitter rate

What's the going rate for a high school aged mother's helper in NJ.  I'll be home when she's here.  We have one baby (10m) and a dog (who won't always be there).  Also, what about a babysitting rate for a night out?  Thanks!

I was a nanny for many years before becoming a teacher. Where about do you live? and high school age do you mean 15-16 or more like 17-18? Even though your home will you expect the mother's helper to do everything or will you also be hands on? Babysitting I always did a flat rate for the hours asked and if the parents went over those hours I charged an hourly rate depending on number of children $13-$15 and hour.
