DS's First Day of School

We went to DS's school with a huge box of his school supplies. We tried to go directly to the ASD classroom but a teacher was there blocking the hall way and told us DS had to line up outside. All the kids were in the playground and DS wanted to play and the ASD teacher was not there. It was a bit rough but I convinced DS he would get to play later.

We found a teacher and she showed us where the ASD teacher was on the corner where the bus drops off the kids.

I kissed DS bye and did not take any first day of school pictures. It was so quick. I left him with 2 small plastic turtles which he calls baby turtles and his favorite stuffed lime green turtle which he calls mama turtle for comfort. I will take his back to school picture later when he gets home.

The busing is still a mess. I just called to leave a message with the teacher because they faxed the wrong location for pick up.

The only good thing we get is the door to door service for busing but I wish the school was not so far away across town. It makes me nervous if the school decides to send DS home for bad behaviors.

It gets to me that DS is somewhat verbal but can't say the name of the school or his teacher's name. I started crying to DH over this on Friday that DS could get lost.

Hugs. That sounded hectic. I hope they get things straightened out quickly. I've been stressing about our huge box-o-supplies as well!!

I know, and they still seem so little when they start kindergarten.  He sounds so cute with his little turtle buddies.  Let us know how the rest of the week goes.
