Just for a laugh

DS said something funny yesterday.  He was reading a book and saw a slice of lime.  I do not think I have ever shown him a lime.  He knows what a lemon is and an orange.  He saw this picture of a lime and said "Its a pickle orange"  I am guessing that he meant it was an orange that was green?  It made me laugh.  Usually when he doesn't know what something is, he will ask because *I think* he doesn't want to answer wrong.  Also, he knows all of his colors.

He also tripped in the parking lot and cut his knee a teeny tiny bit.  He started crying and said "I hair-cutted my knee! Please kiss it mommy!"  I had to correct him that he cut his knee, not hair-cutted his knee.  Maybe this is more of a literal thinker response, but still, it was cute.  The more his speech comes along, the happier I am

I remember a time when DS said he loved black doughnuts. He now says chocolate doughnuts.

There was a time when ds1 decided that since chicken was chicken, pork should be pig and beef should be cow.....on a night I was making beef pot pie ds1 informed his father we were having cow pie for supper....and yes, hamburgers were cow patties at the same time period.
