Mini pill- irregular periods?

So my experience with the regular pill has been when you stop taking it you get your period within a few days/week.

With the mini pill u got my period a week after I started, then got another one the next month.

Due to insurance issues I ran out of pills for this month and can't get a new set till September. I ran out of pills last week and still haven't gotten my period. I took a pregnancy test and it's negative.


Anyone else have irregular periods on the mini pill? Thinking of calling the doc tomorrow but wanted to ask here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

This prob wont help but i have been on the mini pill for 3 nonths and i have not had a period. My OB did tell me it is common to have irregular periods on it. Some women have a lot of spotting some have missed periods. Im on the fence as to wheter or not I like the mini pill.

I took the mini pill after having DD and since I was ebf her, I didn't get my period back until she was around 9 months. My periods were totally irregular and unpredictable... I'd get one 3 weeks after my last one, then nothing for 2 months, etc. It was so lame. Even after I stopped taking it, they never got regular again which was frustrating because we were TTC and chart my cycles. I ended up lucking out and getting pg with DS about 6 months after coming off the mini pill, even though my cycles were still whack. Who knows how much longer it would have taken for them to even out.
