SAIF Check-In: The babies and I are doing good! I'm trying to relactate...kind of. Just not letting it stress me out like pumping did before. We'll see what happens. That's about all the excitement going on right now.
QOTW: The scene in The Other Woman where Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann are in the bushes had me trying to laugh so hard that tears were rolling and I couldn't breathe. It was a mix between gasping for air and laughing.

Not much going on. M/s kept me on the couch all weekend. Then I start to cry thinking if I can't handle this how will I handle being a mom close to 47. My mind starts wandering. Then I feel guilty I'm not eating right because nothing appeals to me. I'm psychotic
QOTW: A group of us girls who were all recently divorced at the time went to a local ski resort for the weekend. Drinking of course. We all went back to our place and I needed to talk to a friend about something and went to her room. She was in the middle of having sex but obviously didn't bother me or her because we started having a conversation. Poor guy. Guess alcohol played in that? We just told this story few months ago and each and every time we laugh until our bellies hurt lol. No judging
I just had to come back and say I'm sorry for whining. So many others go through and are dealing with much worse. My hormones I guess...

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I am feeling way better than last week. The change in reflux meds worked. I saw DH's chiro last week and his clinical assessment was that I have some stress fractures in a few ribs from the force of vomiting/coughing. It will heal on its own and I'm wearing a abdominal binder (up high) to help promote healing to the ribs and it helps with the pain. I actually slept all night last night!! Vday was last Wednesday which was a great milestone to hit. I've started to buy some stuff (I know Becky has been worried about me not getting ready, lol!). If I am feeling well next week, DH and I will go to Cape Cod (his parents live there) for a few days. It will be quiet as the kids in DH's family will have gone back to school so we can just relax at the beach.

Basically, I'm trying to get my shit together.
I haven't been taking good care of myself or my house, ect. Looking for a better job, organizing, cleaning and redecorating my house has been really great.
For years, life has literally been working at a job where many times I left in tears and struggling to not just quit and failing cycle after cycle after cycle.
I'm done with living this way.
I'm sure I'll start to feel sad and panic again when we cycle again, but right now I'm enjoying the mental break.
Qotw: I was at the farmers market this weekend and sat on the ground to play with 2 little Boston terriers. One of them got really excited and kissed me on the mouth while I was laughing and I know her tongue got in my mouth!!
The best part was that I gave my husband a big smooch after... And then I told him about the doggy kiss. He's a bit of a germaphobe and kept trying to wipe his mouth off!

39w5d! WOO HOO!
Well, we just got back from our last doctor's appointment and we got some really good news - I'm 2-3 cm dilated and so we do not have to do cervical priming overnight before my induction! I was super stressed about this because of a little PTSD from the laminaria for my D&E (basically shoving things into a closed cervix). So, perhaps some of my tactics have worked, or, it's just closer to when she'd come on her own and my body is doing its thing. I added Evening Primrose OIl, and plan to chow down on some pineapple today, as well as squeeze in one more acupuncture appointment.
So, the decision was made to go in TOMORROW at 7 a.m.!!!!!! I figured if things are ready in there, a day won't make much of a difference and one less day of anticipation/anxiety sounds pretty good to me at this point.
We talked a lot to the doctor about the induction and my not wanting it - but, in the end it feels like the safest move considering GD and my age. And, if I could check some of this anxiety I might actually get excited about meeting our baby!! J also really just wants her out in the world - I'll admit to having fears of something going wrong at this late stage and feel a little better about her being outside vs. inside myself.
So - we should have our baby sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. I can hardly believe it - my first RE appointment was June of 2012. I know many of you have had a much longer road, but considering we never even tried with my OE, our 16w loss, a c/p. a BFN... it's felt LONG. And I'm guessing it will all have been worth it once little Simone is in my arms!!
Thanks for all the love and support getting me here. I really appreciate all of you, and that you all 'get it' and understand the complexities of having a non-genetically linked child. Big squishy hugs to all of you!

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
