Belly tightness after exercise

Not sure if these are BH or just normal discomfort and tightness that comes with the 3rd trimester! I'm no fitness guru, but we usually walk our dog about a mile a day (some hills involved) and I take the stairs at work. Here lately (27 weeks), I can't make it through without my abdomen getting REALLY right! It's better once I sit down. Anyone else experience this?

Re: Belly tightness after exercise

  • By right I mean tight*

  • Sometimes when I pee, it feels like my uterus is slowly contracting. But maybe that's just the feeling of pressure being released? Sigh. I'll never know.
Also get a tight belly feeling during exercise.

  • I am pretty sure that the tightness is cause by BH. I get tightness in my tummy after working out too.

  • I get some tight/cramping like pain on the side of my belly when exercising, just walking around the neighborhood like I've been doing for years. Not sure if it's BH or RLP though.

  • Yep, happens here a lot throughout both walking and running. My doctor told me isn't just the muscles working differently while working out. Sometimes it helps me to stop and sit for a bit before going again.

I think I have BH contractions after sitting for a period of time and if I have to pee or when I do pee. I'm sure you are having one from exercising. It's normal :)

  • Great advice girls, thanks! I'm glad my body knows what it's doing because I sure don't :)

Does anyone get super tightness after sitting for awhile or exercising that ends with lightheadedness and trouble breathing and sharp stomach pains (i'm 26 weeks)? My torso is super tiny, so idk if it's just that or cause for concern. BH contractions are so confusing!!
