Those of you only pumping an ounce or so during a session - are you collecting/combining to create a bigger bag/bottle to feed or store? I'm collecting an extra 4-6 oz per day between feedings to freeze and wanted to make sure I wasn't committing a cardinal sin by putting it all in one bag. I just can't see bagging an ounce or two and it seems like this will only make for a pain when DH and MIL thaw for feedings.
I combine already chilled milk all the time so I can get the bag incriments that I want.
As do I. What I pump in a 24 hour period I combine after it's chilled then I separate it into freezer bags in the amount I want.
I pump 1-2 times per day and am EBF. I get anywhere from 3-5 ounces and it seems to depend on how long ago I fed LO and how much he ate. He tends to suck me dry like a juice box so sometimes it's hard to pump especially since it feels like he always wants to eat!
I am pumping at least once a day, trying to fit in a second. I will normally get 6-8 ounces of milk per session. I try to wait an hour after a feeding to allow my body to replenish. I have a large freezer stash already, over 80 ounces. At the end of October I am going on a trip for 8 days and would really like to not supplement with formula. Fingers crossed I can keep this pace up once I go back to work.
