We got one and I keep trying to give it to her. She doesn't seem to like or dislike it right now, I don't think she can hold it long enough or manipulate it enough to really nom on it yet. She prefers her receiving blankets or wash cloths right now.
For how much that darn thing costs I hope she does take it. I feel like a drug pusher trying to give it to her. "C'mon, all the other babies are using Sophie". Lol.

We got one as a gift but I knew we'd get one for sure because all my friends with babies told me their kids love their Sophie's. DD just started taking an interest in hers.
I've been giving it to him to hold on the changing table. Today he was biting it's back and shaking his head, cheetah-style.

DS loves it @ocoma! He can nom on the tube thingies and the square inside has something inside that makes a rattle noise when shaken.
ETA: its from Manhattan Toy
I have one of these and didn't even know what it was called! LO doesn't seem to have much interest in any toys right now - including his Sophie that my dog just ruined. But my MIL and I were in a book store looking at the "winkel" and a random mom walked by and was like, "that is the best toy, they can wack themselves in the face with it and it doesn't hurt", so my MIL immediately bought it.

Hahaha. Ds swing his hand today at lunch holding it sad knocked over dh glass of iced tea. It was hilarious. To me at least.
We just got Sophie for our teething/drooling DS and he's in LOVE! He grabs her poor little neck in a death grip and sucks her face like there's no tomorrow! Poor Sophie! I have found that washing her in scolding hot water makes her squeaker less loud each time.
